Abstract: A pocket hole jig for locating pocket holes in a workpiece includes a base with a base plate and first and second side walls extending along the base plate, and a body disposed between the first and second side walls and slidable along the base in a forward direction and a rearward direction. The body includes a drill bit aperture angled downward toward the base plate. The pocket hole jig also includes a fastener configured to releasably couple the pocket hole jig to an adjacent second pocket hole jig.

Abstract: A pocket hole jig contains: a body, a holder, and a fitting sleeve. The body includes at least one accommodation orifice configured to house a driller, each accommodation orifice tilts downwardly and extends toward a bottom of the body, wherein the body also includes a first marking portion arranged on a first side surface thereof. The holder includes an operation room in which the body is fitted and moves relative to the holder, at least one through groove formed on a bottom of the holder so as to correspond to the at least one accommodation orifice, and a first scale section arranged on a first side surface thereof and aligning with the first marking portion. The fitting sleeve is fitted with the driller, and the holder further includes a depth scale section for measuring depths of holes drilled on wooden workpieces by the driller.

Abstract: A pocket hole jig utilizes a pair of adjustable drill guides attached at the front of a movable carriage to enable self-adjustment in pocket hole placement over a range of workpiece thicknesses. The carriage is slidably received on an angled base member and may be moved toward or away from a vertical base member used to support wooden workpieces. A locking mechanism retains the carriage in its adjusted position. The pair of drill guides are adjustably positioned towards or away from one another and relative to the pocket hole jig axis of symmetry, locating the pair of pocket hole drilling locations.

Abstract: A pocket hole drilling machine is presented. The pocket hole drilling machine has a cabinet made of a molded unitary monolithic piece. A monolithic top plate is connected to the cabinet with an opening in the middle for an insert plate which is positioned therein. A handle extends above the top plated as does a clamping assembly however actuating mechanics of the device move within the cabinet, thereby improving safety by eliminating pinchpoints. An adjustable fence assembly having cam locks connected thereto is also connected to the top plate. This arrangement provides a low cost, safe and efficient pocket hole drilling machine.

Abstract: A device for anchoring a post to a supporting surface is disclosed. In one embodiment, the device comprises a base member and post mounting plate, the post mounting plate comprising a post-facing seat, the base member and post mounting plate comprising a plurality of first openings, each such first opening for accepting and accommodating a fastener for attaching the device to a post, and a plurality of second openings, each such second opening for accepting and accommodating a fastener for attaching the device to a supporting surface. Each first opening is disposed to accept a fastener, such as a screw, at an upwardly inclined angle and, further, at a laterally displaced offset angle. The device orients and positions a plurality of fasteners within the post in a configuration wherein the fasteners are disposed angularly about, and offset from, a central, vertical axis in a preferably non-intersecting arrangement.

Abstract: A jig for cutting plugs for pocket holes from a workpiece has a base leg, from which transversely extend guide and clamp legs. One or more guide channels extend through the guide leg at an angle to an interior face of the guide leg to guide the sleeve of a rotating cutter bit that has a cutting edge at its end and a removed section forming a cutting blade. A clamp extends from the clamp leg to engage one face of a workpiece whose end is mounted on a raised ledge on the base leg and holds the workpiece opposing face against the guide leg interior surface as the sleeve end cutting edge and blade advances into and cuts entirely through the workpiece to cut the plug. A collar on the cutting bit shaft engages the guide leg to prevent the sleeve end cutting edge from contacting the base leg. The jig also can be used for making pocket holes by using the appropriate drill bit.
