摘要: A printing system obtains a print job, analyzes the obtained print job, and imposes print pages to a total of four surfaces of a print target sheet including two surfaces on each of front and back in accordance with a bookbinding format of the analyzed print job. As for an imposition method, if the bookbinding format of the print job is particular two fold bookbinding for which processing of two-folding a sheet and bonding a plurality of two-folded sheets is performed, imposition is performed while reserving a glue surface not to print out of the four surfaces of the print target sheet.

摘要: A method and device for the conversion of a production plant for the post print processing, which production plant includes several post print processing machines and a plant central control unit. The method and device may be used for successively processing different production orders for turning partial products into finished print products. According to the method, it may first be determined when a last partial product of a first production order has left a post print processing machine. The post print processing machine may then be automatically and/or semi-automatically converted by the plant central control unit. The method may include determining, by the plant central control unit, when the conversion of the post print processing machine has been completed.

摘要: Techniques described herein overcome many of the issues that have previously made the printing of a single copy of a book from a digital version unattractive and infeasible. According to one embodiment of the invention, an automated mechanism such as a computer program automatically determines whether the spine thickness of a to-be-printed copy of a digital version of a book will exceed the specified maximum spine thickness that a specified binding or other finishing device can handle. In response to determining that the spine thickness will exceed the specified maximum spine thickness, the automated mechanism automatically splits the digital version of the book into two or more volumes such that, for each volume, the spine thickness of the printed version of that volume will be no greater than the specified maximum spine thickness that the specified binding or other finishing device can handle.

摘要: Upon designating bookbinding print, preview images are displayed in a layout after bookbinding. When “store” of intermediate data is designated in a print process, a spooler (302) stores intermediate data and an output job setup file in a spool file (303). When the stored job is selected, a previewer (306) displays a list of jobs, and displays a print preview image. In this case, upon setting bookbinding print, pages are displayed in a spread state and order after bookbinding. Also, the open direction (right or left open), and the bookbinding unit are also expressed on preview images.

摘要: An information processing apparatus includes a check unit, an acquisition unit, a first determination unit, and an output unit. The check unit checks a processing status of a printing apparatus. The acquisition unit acquires exception processing information including a content of exception processing from the printing apparatus in response to the processing status checked by the check unit being in execution of the exception processing. The first determination unit determines a check operation to be added to a physical job ticket according to the exception processing content included in the exception processing information acquired by the acquisition unit. The output unit outputs the physical job ticket including the check operation determined by the first determination unit.

摘要: The invention relates to a method and device for making an album, particularly from folded photograph sheets (3) and cover (2, 5) and divider sheets (4), which are glued into the form of an album. At least the photograph sheets (3) and the divider sheets (4) are positioned for gluing by using positioning means (e.g. 11-15, 20), the position of which relative to the glued piece can be moved away from the location of the glued piece.
