Abstract: A method controls a washing machine including a drum rotatably provided in a tub that receives water, at least one nozzle spraying water into the drum, a washing motor rotating the drum, and a circulation pump circulating water within the washing machine. The method includes: controlling a rotation of the drum by operating the washing motor to rotate the drum at a first rotation speed in a first rotation direction, and to maintain a rotation of the drum at the first rotation speed in the first rotation direction so that laundry in the drum maintains contact with an inner circumferential surface of the drum; and controlling a pump speed of the circulation pump by operating a circulation pump motor in the circulation pump to accelerate and decelerate at least once while the washing motor rotates the drum at the first rotation speed in the first rotation direction.

Abstract: A method and device for the wet treatment of laundry batches provides to load the drum in a plurality of steps. To this end, the laundry batch is divided into partial batches which are gradually loaded into the drum. In particular, the drum is driven in rotation between successive partial batches at a rotational speed which corresponds to the spinning speed and/or supplies liquid to the partial batches during loading. As a result, the individual partial batches are compacted. Due to this compaction, space is provided for the next partial batch. As a result, the drum can be loaded with larger laundry batches of greater weight. This results in a more cost-efficient wet treatment.

Abstract: In a method for operating a washing machine with a drum, a drive motor for the drum, a power supply for the drive motor and a washing machine control monitoring and detecting the motor current by means of the power supply, the following steps are performed where the motor current is constantly monitored while the drum rotates for at least three full revolutions. A full revolution of the drum is divided into three rotation sections of equal size, and the motor current is monitored and recorded for each of the rotation sections. An envelope curve of this motor current is calculated, and therefrom the standard deviation is calculated. The standard deviation is divided by the mean value of the envelope curve to determine the coefficient of variation for each rotation section. By comparing the determined coefficient of variation for each rotation section with stored values for the coefficient of variation, the behaviour of the laundry items is determined as to whether laundry items slide down the drum inner wall, fall from the drum inner wall or rotate together with the drum. From this behaviour, parameters are determined for a further operation of the washing machine with regard to the treatment of the laundry items.

Abstract: A method for controlling a laundry washing machine. The method includes: performing a tub loading process comprising operating supply valve(s) to provide a first volume of water through a detergent supply system and into a tub to fill the tub with wash liquid; performing a washing process comprising rotating a drum to agitate laundry in in the presence of the wash liquid; performing a static rinsing process comprising operating a pump to remove a free volume of wash liquid from the tub without rotating the drum; and performing one or more rinsing processes comprising: operating the supply valve(s) to provide a volume of clean rinse water to the tub, operating the pump to remove the rinse water from the drum, and operating the motor to spin the drum at high speed to extract rinse water from the laundry, while continuing to operate the pump.

Abstract: A laundry drying machine includes: a cabinet, a drum rotatably disposed in the cabinet and configured to accommodate a target object, an electric field generator spaced apart from the drum and configured to, based on power being applied to the electric field generator, generate an electric field, and an exhaust duct configured to discharge air inside the drum. The electric field generator includes: (i) an anode electrode spaced apart from the drum, fixed to the cabinet, and configured to apply the electric field to the target object, (ii) a power supply unit configured to supply the power to the anode electrode, and (iii) a matcher configured to match a source impedance of the power and an impedance of a load side. The drum is configured to, based on a reflectivity of the electric field exceeding a predetermined ratio, reduce a rotation speed.

Abstract: A method for controlling a laundry treating apparatus includes a dry cloth sensing operation of sensing an amount of clothes put into a drum, a wet cloth sensing operation of sensing a washing load based on a moisture content of the clothes by supplying water into a tub, and a cloth material sensing operation of sensing a cloth material of the clothes put into the drum based on a rpm gap and a motor-constrained state where rotation of a motor is restricted. The rpm gap is a difference between a target rpm of a rotator in the drum and an actual rpm of the rotator.
