    摘要: A power tool is provided including a brushless DC (BLDC) motor, a rectifier that receives an alternative current from a power supply and outputs a rectified signal supplied to a DC power bus, and an inverter circuit having motor switches connected electrically between the DC power bus and the motor. A control module controls a switching operation of the power switches to regulate supply power from the power supply to the motor. The control module controls the switching operation so as to, within a half cycle of the AC power supply voltage waveform, increase current draw from the power supply from a first threshold at or after a first zero-crossing of the half cycle up to a second threshold, and reduce current draw from the power supply from the second threshold up to a third threshold at or prior to a second zero-crossing of the half cycle.

    摘要: The present disclosure is constructed on the prior art inverter architecture, a pulse code width modulation (PCWM). This is an open loop motor control system without sensing its rotor position. The present disclosure employs a closed loop method to track the optimum efficiency motor operating point directly. A bench load test is conducted to gather information for an AI type control, which includes both load angle vs. voltage command charts and power factor vs. voltage command charts, with load levels as parameters for certain frequency command ranges. This way, the optimum efficiency motor operating points are generated a priori. The AI type control is mechanized to track the optimum efficiency motor operating points.

    摘要: A motor is provided with stator windings arranged on a circumference of stator. Multiple-phase currents are supplied to the stator windings. A current is supplied to rotor windings. The multiple-phase currents include torque current components, which are arranged to be opposite in directions to torque current components of the current. By this mutually opposite-directional current arrangement, a sum of both torque current components results in a magnetomotive force of zero. It is also possible to reduce influence of the torque current components on the field magnetic fluxes of the motor. In the motor, circumferential magnetic flux components can be concentrated on an airgap and a portion near therearound, so that a larger amount of torque can be obtained, and constant output control can be performed more easily.

An OFF-state of the four switches creates a charging path for the switchable capacitor, an ON-state of a first pair of the four switches creates a discharge path for the switchable capacitor during a positive half cycle of the alternating current, and an ON-state of a second pair of the four switches creates a discharge path for the switchable capacitor during a negative half cycle of the alternating current.

    摘要: A system and method for determining the health of a motor drive system is provided, where a motor is coupled to a common motor control and a single or plurality of other motors are coupled to the common power source. Current data corresponding to current provided to the motor is obtained via a sensor connected to an electrical input of the motor, and voltage data corresponding to a voltage provided by the common motor control is also obtained. Based on the current data and the voltage data, a motor current provided to the motor and a motor voltage to current phase shift (or power factor) are determined, and the health of the motor drive system is determined from the motor phase shift (or power factor) and the motor current.

    摘要: A method for operating an unbalanced load manager for a three-phase induction motor or heater, includes receiving, by a load manager, values representative of current flow sensed by current sensors and voltages sensed by voltage taps corresponding to phases of a three-phase power system providing power to the motor or heater. The method includes detecting, by the load manager, a transition from positive or negative to zero current, to measure a phase shift between line-to-line and current. The method further includes synchronizing, by the load manager, firing from line-to-line signal to line-to-neutral signal of phases of the three-phase power system, using the measured phase shift between line-to-line and current.
