    摘要: The present invention provides a joining structure of a roof truss using thin light-gauge shaped steel. In a joining structure for joining a subsidiary roof with a main roof, a valley bracket formed by bending a thin steel sheet is inserted and disposed in the longitudinal valley direction of a joining member for joining a rafter forming the subsidiary roof with a truss or a rafter forming the main roof. In a joining structure in which a roof truss upper chord member or a rafter intersects a wall on the upper surface of the wall, a bracket formed by bending a thin steel sheet is disposed at the intersection of these members and fixes the roof truss upper chord member or the rafter to the wall. In a joining structure for the connecting top of the roof truss upper chord member or the rafter, a thin steel sheet member is disposed at the connecting top to fix an end of the roof truss upper chord member or the rafter with an end of a strut, and a box-shaped bracket formed by bending a thin steel sheet to have box-like receiving sections is provided at a top of the thin steel sheet member, for fixing top cleat members.

    摘要: Novel free-standing open-span building frames for building construction and their use. The frames are assembled from base plates, upright posts, post-joist-rafter connectors, and a joist. Each base plate is a steel plate having an upper surface to which is welded the lower end of a steel post connector. The steel plates anchor bolt holes therethrough on each side of the post connector. The building has a steel reinforced concrete foundation with anchor bolts extending through the anchor bolt holes of each base plate, each base plate being secured to the anchor bolts with nuts. Each post has a lower end bolted to the respective steel post connector of the first and second base plate. Each post-joist-rafter connector comprises a post connector, a joist connector and a rafter connector. The first post has an upper end bolted to the post connector of the first post-joist-rafter connector, and the second post has an upper end bolted to the post connector of the second post-joist-rafter connector. The joist has first and second joist ends, the first joist end being bolted to the joist connector of the first post-joist-rafter connector, and the second joist end being bolted to the joist connector of the second post-joist-rafter connector. The frames are free-standing and can be spaced at distances of from 3 to 14 meters per frame.

    摘要: This invention provides fall protection systems, in metal building construction, and methods of installing such systems. A given such system comprises a suspension fabric, supported by a grid-work of longitudinal and lateral support bands. The distance of the safety band from the rafter corresponds to about 40 percent to about 75 percent of the diameter of the bag. Thus for a 30-inch diameter bag, the distance between the edge of the rafter and the middle of the safety band is about 12 inches to about 23 inches. The safety band protects the suspension fabric from being cut by the near edge of the rafter when a falling object impacts the fall protection system near the edge of the rafter.

    摘要: A building roof structure includes rafters, purlins, braces, and a suspension fabric. The suspension fabric, which may be part of a fall protection system, insulation support system, and/or vapor barrier system, extends across a bay or other portion of the roof structure such that the suspension fabric is above the rafters and below the purlins. The braces connect at least some of the purlins to at least some of the rafters, and each brace extends through a corresponding slit or other opening in the suspension fabric. Brace covers are provided for some or all of the braces to conceal the fabric opening, to facilitate sealing around the brace near the fabric opening, and/or to provide support for the suspension fabric near the fabric opening.
