摘要： A cover for temporary protective shielding of a brake includes a body. The body has a cylindrical structure with one open end; a central position of an upper bottom surface of the cover body includes a central hole; a front-end position of the upper bottom surface includes a downwardly recessed mounting groove for mounting a brake caliper; a limiting step for position limiting is provided at a connection and transition position between a front-end inner circumferential wall and an inner circumferential wall of the body; the inner circumferential wall includes snap joints and heat radiating grooves; the inner circumferential wall of the protective cover body includes compensation columns that protrude outwards from the inner circumferential wall. The cover is mounted on a peripheral edge of the brake protective plate. By using compensation columns with a hollow semi-cylindrical structure, the cover can be universally mounted at peripheral edges of protective plates having various shapes.

A brake caliper pocket having a limited circumferential extent is disposed along the sidewall and the circumferential wall to define a brake caliper receiving cavity adjacent the brake rotor receiving cavity. Engagement fingers extend radially into the brake caliper receiving cavity to engage a brake caliper received therein with an audible and/or tactile indicator defining a fully installed position of the brake cover apparatus. Locking recesses extend radially into the brake rotor receiving cavity to engage a brake dust shield received therein. Multiple ones of the brake cover apparatus disclosed are nestable with one another in a stacked arrangement wherein the engagement fingers and locking recesses perform locating and anti-rotation functions.

The secondary vanes (9) are in the number of at least the number of primary vanes (4) and their impact surfaces (10) are directed against the cooling air flow direction. Primary vanes (4) and secondary vanes (9) are bent, but inversely. There are primary gaps between secondary vanes (9) and circumferential wall (13) of a cover (8), and secondary gap inter-connected with primary gaps is between the brake disk and supporting wall (11) of the cover (8). Space around the brake disk body (1) is interconnected with channels (7) and led out through the wheel disk outside the wheel.

An annular elevation which is spaced apart from the outer edge of the brake cover plate is formed on the side facing the brake disc as a wheel-bearing pre-seal. Furthermore, the brake cover plate forms a fastening flange radially within the annular elevation in order to fix the brake cover plate to a wheel carrier or the like. A wheel-bearing pre-seal is integrated into the brake cover plate via the annular elevation, the wheel-bearing pre-seal reducing the soiling of a wheel bearing thus improving the service life of the latter.
