摘要： To obtain an air conditioning apparatus which provides a favorable atmosphere to the ear and saves energy even if the suction resistance of the impeller becomes high due to such as dust in the air conditioning apparatus. The air conditioning apparatus is provided with an impeller which is formed by a plurality of vanes and a ring for supporting the plurality of vanes, and includes a nozzle portion formed by a stabilizer and an air outlet, a cross flow fan formed by a guide wall, and a heat exchanger. The ratio H/&phgr;D2 of the outside diameter &phgr; D2 of the impeller to the height H of the air conditioning apparatus is 2.2 or above and 3.0 or below.

This is an air conditioner which can be installed at a corner between a first wall and a second wall of a room. It has a frame body having an upper part, a lower part, and side parts, a blower for circulating air, a heat exchanger for exchanging heat with the air, an air diffuser for blowing out the air into the room, a space positioned at an edge of the corner, and a piping connected to the heat exchanger. The connection port of the piping is placed at least at one of (a) a position projecting into the space and (b) a place near the space. This is an installation tool for installing an air conditioner main body having a first side surface and a second side surface at a corner of a first wall and a second wall of a room. The tool includes a first installation board having a first base part and a first stopping part, and a second installation board having a second base part and a second stopping part. The fist installation board is fixed on the first wall, the second installation board is fixed on the second wall, the first installation board holds the first side, and the second installation board holds the second side.

摘要： In an air conditioner, at least one up-down wind direction board rotates in an up-down direction around almost horizontal rotation axis within an air outlet, and a plurality of lateral wind direction boards rotating laterally are provided around rotation axes as the center which are almost orthogonal to the rotation axis of said up-down wind direction board. Also a diffuser constituting a part of the air outlet is provided rotationally around an almost horizontal rotation axis as the center at the lower portion of the air outlet. A motor for driving the up-down wind direction board is provided at the side of one side wall portion of the air outlet. The up-down wind direction board is set by said motor to any arbitrary angle of tilt between the initial stop position closing said air outlet and maximum open position almost vertically downward. When the said up-down wind direction board is in a range from the position of a particular angle of tilt to said maximum open position between said up-down wind direction board and said diffuser, a drive force transmitting device provided is capable of transmitting the movement of said up-down wind direction board to said diffuser thereby permitting the driving of both the up-down wind direction board and diffuser by a single motor.

Each heat conduction pipe groups is constructed such that a plurality of heat conduction pipes 22 are arranged in parallel with each other and a fine wire 23 made of a metallic material having excellent heat conductivity is spirally wound around each adjacent heat conduction pipes 22. Thus, performances of the heat exchanger can be improved without a possibility that the air conditioner is designed with larger dimensions. In addition, the heat exchanger includes a plurality of heat conduction pipes 39 arranged in the form of at least one row with a constant distance between adjacent ones and a plurality of twisted wires 40. The twisted wires 40 are arranged so as to alternately come in contact with one side and opposite side of each heat conduction pipe 39 extending at a right angle relative to the row direction of each heat conduction pipe 39, and moreover, alternately come in contact with one side and opposite other side of each heat conduction pipe 39 extending in the longitudinal direction. With this construction, high heat conductivity can be realized, and an occurrence of clogging with dew droplets can be prevented while maintaining a heat conduction area.
