摘要： A visual display system constructed to provide increased resolution of a ital signal representing a measured analog value. An analog signal is converted to a digital number represented by a group of most significant bits and lesser significant bits. Each group of digits is stored in a digital storage circuit with the group of most significant bits additionally being stored in a preset counting circuit and increased in value by a logical 1. The outputs of the storage and counting circuits holding the group of most significant bits are then coupled to energize elements of a visual display for a time proportional to the digital number represented by the group of lesser significant bits. The magnitude of the analog signal can then be determined by observing the position and relative length of time that any of two elements of the display are energized over a sampling period.

摘要： An electrically operated, signal magnitude display device of a non-mechanical, compact type suitable to substitute for a panel meter, with the capability of converting an input digital electrical signal into a visual analog display wherein the magnitude of the input signal is to be represented by an appropriate indication of position within the field of the display. The device comprises a display section having a plurality of electrically activatable luminous elements, such as luminous diodes, arranged in a one-dimensional array so that the elements may be independently activated to luminesce and thereby serve to visually define an incrementally variable position within the array. An electrical circuit, interconnecting with the luminescent element terminals through respective intersecting common groups of terminals in a matrix circuit, responds to the input signal and selects the specific luminous element positioned in the array to correspond to the magnitude of the input signal. In a practical example, the electrical circuit receives, e.g., two digits of a binary coded decimal input signal and converts them to two decimal signals gating two intersecting groups of ten terminals in the matrix circuit to form an activation circuit through the one luminescent element whose terminals appear in the two groups.

A programmable audio level indicator for use with a mixing desk is provided which comprises a first light source arranged to emit a coloured light, in response to an audio signal received from a connected audio source, to indicate the audio level of that received signal, the indicator arranged to vary the colour and intensity of the light emitted as the audio level changes, wherein the indicator is configured such that the audio levels at which the colour changes are selectable, the indicator further configured such that the colour emitted to indicate an audio level, or range of audio levels, is also selectable.

摘要： A display system for a rotary printing press for displaying the inking profile on an LED matrix. The profile indication is provided by means of a time shared display with control circuit which scans the positions of all the ink control members, all having position sensors, and sequentially accesses an analog-to-digital converter with decoded outputs which are converted to a number of LED columns, each represented by a continuously lighted LED the coarse position of the ink control member. A fine position indication may be provided by simultaneously showing a fine indication by means of a flash LED in the corresponding column. A still finer indication may be provided by means of a second flashing LED in the corresponding column.

摘要： When the discharging of a battery is suspended, its open-circuit voltage or a voltage corresponding to the open-circuit voltage is detected, and with the voltage thus detected, as a start point an imaginary voltage curve having a certain decreasing rate is set for instance (by discharging a capacitor which has been charged by the voltage). When the discharging of the battery is suspended, the voltage detected at that time is used to correct the start point voltage of the imaginary voltage curve. According to the voltage obtained from the imaginary voltage curve, the number of LEDs turned on is changed or one of the LEDs is selected or liquid crystal display means is operated to display the remaining capacity of the battery.

摘要： The present electronic indicator or display device is equipped with adjustable upper and/or lower limit value markers to provide a respective alarm if such limit values are exceeded or not reached. The display itself comprises an electronic circuit and optical display elements such as light emitting diodes connected to the display circuit. An input to the display circuit is adapted to receive rated or limit value input signals which are displayed as respective markers and the position of which is adjustable. A time multiplexing circuit controls the timed sequence of the signals supplied to the display elements. A comparator compares the measured signal value with the rated value or values and monitors the proper function of the system.
