摘要: A power inverter system includes a plurality of power semiconductor switching devices. Each switching device includes a corresponding gate turn off resistance configured to increase during starting up periods of the inverter system such that the open circuit voltage of a corresponding power source providing power to the power inverter system does not exceed the switching device blocking voltage ratings during the corresponding switching turn-off periods. The starting up period is the time required to bring the corresponding power source voltage from its open circuit voltage level to a predetermined voltage which constitutes a safe operating condition for the plurality of power semiconductor switching devices.

摘要: A power inverter system includes a plurality of power semiconductor switching devices. Each switching device includes a corresponding gate turn off resistance configured to increase during starting up periods of the inverter system such that the open circuit voltage of a corresponding power source providing power to the power inverter system does not exceed the switching device blocking voltage ratings during the corresponding switching turn-off periods. 摘要: On an inverter (1) for converting an electric direct voltage, in particular of a photovoltaic direct voltage source into an alternating voltage with a direct voltage input with two terminals (DC+, DC−) and one alternating voltage output with two terminals (AC1, AC2) and with one bridge circuit including semiconductor switching elements (S1-S6), said bridge circuit comprising one first bridge branch (Z1) including four switching elements (S1-S4) and one second bridge branch (Z2) including two additional switching elements (S5, S6) as well as a freewheeling circuit provided with additional diodes (D7, D8), the efficiency is further increased without high frequency interferences and capacitive leakage currents having the possibility to occur on the generator side. This is achieved in that a respective one of the freewheeling diodes (D7, D8) forms a freewheeling branch together with a respective one of the switching elements (S2, S3) located in the first bridge branch (Z1), said freewheeling branch carrying a freewheeling current in a condition decoupled from the direct voltage.

摘要: A power conversion device such as an inverter using as bridge arm elements self-extinguishing-type switching elements for converting D-C input power into A-C load power. Snubbers, each including a capacitor and a diode in series, are connected in parallel with the switching elements. A discharging circuit, having a diode is connected across the diodes of the snubbers, and a power source feedback circuit, including a current transformer, are employed to return the current discharged from the snubbers to the input power source, thereby enhancing conversion efficiency.

摘要: A circuit arrangement for the formation of periodic pulse patterns for use in controlling converters which is capable of quick change of circuit arrangement without time wasted in adjustment and capable of use in different applications without need to change circuit. The circuit arrangement of the invention is also useful for the formation of a periodic pulse pattern which is variable as a function of a control signal. For this purpose the desired pulse pattern is formed of auxiliary patterns stored in a number of memories. An oscillator drives a binary-coded counter which forms the addresses for a memory in which the desired pulse pattern is stored. The address inputs of at least one of these memories are connected to the output of the counter by means of an arrangement for address shifting which responds to a control signal.

摘要: A commutation circuit for an inverter has a capacitor which is charged prior to commutation of the inverter from an auxiliary dc power source instead of by the principal dc power supply for the inverter. Polarity of the voltage on the capacitor is reversed prior to start of commutation by a switch that connects a first inductor across the capacitor to establish a first capacitor current path through the first inductor. No portion of thee first capacitor current by which the capacitor achieves its reverse polarity flows through the inverter. After the polarity of voltage on the capacitor has been reversed the capacitor is connected by switching so as to apply reverse polarity voltage to the dc input busses of the inverter. Commutation current then flows through the inverter, but not through the first inductor. A separate inductor is provided for the commutation current, in series with the capacitor and the inverter. The circuit is particularly advantageous for apparatus in which the principal dc power supply provides an adjustable dc voltage, because the energy available from this circuit for commutation is not significantly diminished by adjustment of the principal dc power supply to low voltage levels because the auxiliary dc power supply becomes effective at the low levels.

摘要: An inverter circuit, having a dc input and an ac output, has an input circuit portion which includes an isolating diode and an input filter including a choke and a polarized capacitor across the dc input. The dc-chopper portion of the inverter circuitry may either be centre-tapped -- where half of the primary winding is in the circuit at any time -- or bridge-type -- where all of the primary winding is in the circuit. In any event, the chopper portion uses SCR's, and has 180 electrical degree commutation; with a commutation capacitor across the primary winding of the output transformer and a commutation choke in series with the SCR's. Feedback is provided by feedback diodes which may be connected to taps on the primary winding of the transformer, or which may be in parallel with the commutation choke, and which in any event are connected in counter-polarity to the polarized input capacitor. The SCR's of the chopper circuitry may be isolated by diodes in series with them, from the primary winding of the output transformer.

摘要: An improvement is made to stepped wave static inverters in the form of an instantaneous current control circuit. In case of overload of faults on the inverter output, this circuit acts to limit current in the power switching devices of the inverter. Its performance is an improvement over previous current limit circuits in that it acts instantly to limit overload current and instantly to release that limit so that normal output voltage is restored immediately when the overload is removed. A furtheperformance improvement results because this circuit acts to limit current in the individual power switching devices without necessarily reducing the output voltage of all phases of the inverter.
