    摘要: A Global Positioning System forms a C/A code sequence by summing up, beginning from a polarity inversion boundary determined by a correlation peak position detector, chips at corresponding positions in PN frames constituting each bit of navigation data; calculates pseudo ranges by computing correlation between the C/A code sequence and a reference C/A code sequence generated by a GPS terminal; and determines the position of the GPS terminal using the pseudo ranges and navigation data. The navigation data detected inside the GPS terminal is used when a received electric field detected by a received electric field intensity detector is greater than a predetermined level, and the navigation data received from an external system is used when the received electric field is below the predetermined level. This makes it possible to solve following problems of a conventional system: the number of PN frames to be integrated is limited because the conventional system does not detect the polarity inversion boundaries of the navigation data, and hence the sensitivity (S/N ratio) is insufficient; and the communication between a terminal and a base station is required for determining the position because the GPS terminal always obtains the Doppler information from the base station, increasing the communication cost.

    摘要: An electric power steering apparatus for supplying a steering assist torque from an electric motor to a steering mechanism including a torque limiter which comprises a case made of a magnetic material and secured to an output shaft of the electric motor, a boss made of a magnetic material concentrically rotatably arranged relative to the case and connected to a driven shaft, and a permanent magnet member disposed between the case and the boss for magnetically connecting therebetween. The permanent magnet member is annular and has an axially anisotropic magnetization of a negative temperature coefficient of residual magnetic flux density. The apparatus comprises a layer of an abrasion-resistant material provided between the permanent magnet member and at least one of the case and the boss and a cover for covering the outside of the case and the boss. At least one of the case and the boss comprises a guide portion for guiding and supporting at least one of an outer circumference surface and an inner circumference surface of the permanent magnet member that is annular as well as a seal portion for sealing at least one of the outer circumferential surface and the inner circumferential surface of the other of the case and the boss against the entry of any foreign matter.

An upper insulating partition wall is disposed in the upper half portion of the interrupter compartment for defining a partition between the bus conductor compartment and having a penetration hole through which the terminal of the interrupter can pass, and a lower insulating partition wall is disposed in the lower half portion of the interrupter compartment for defining a partition between the cable compartment and having a window through which the terminal of the interrupter can pass. A first stationary terminal and a second stationary terminal for contacting with or separating from the switch are arranged on the bus conductor compartment side and the cable compartment side of the upper insulating partition wall and the lower insulating partition wall. A disconnector is disposed so that it movable contact is capable of contacting with or separating from the first stationary terminal and the second stationary terminal.

    摘要: A semiconductor device manufactured by cleaning without dissolving W, Ti, or TiN even if these metallic materials are exposed on the substrates to be cleaned, and a method for manufacturing such a semiconductor device. Impurities present on a silicon substrate can be removed while controlling the etching of a tungsten film exposed on the surface of a silicon substrate, by dipping and cleaning the silicon substrate in one or a plurality of chemical solutions selected from a group consisting of HF, HCl, and NH4OH, under the condition that the surface of the silicon substrate is entirely covered with a tungsten film. After dry etching for patterning the tungsten film and the barrier metal, impurities present on a silicon substrate can be removed while controlling the etching of the tungsten film and the barrier metal exposed on the surface of a silicon substrate, by dipping and cleaning the silicon substrate in one or a plurality of chemical solutions selected from a group consisting of HCl and NH4OH.

    摘要: A controller of an elevator for reducing the number of execution times of uniform charging of a power accumulating device and having higher energy saving effects. The controller has a converter, an inverter, a power accumulating device arranged between DC buses, a charging-discharging control circuit for controlling charging and discharging operations of the power accumulating device, and a charging-discharging state measuring device for measuring at least one of temperature, charging and discharging currents, and charging and discharging voltages of the power accumulating device. The charging-discharging control circuit sets the execution of uniform charging of the power accumulating device on the basis of an output of the charging-discharging state measuring device, and executes only the required uniform charging. Thus, an elevator with the power accumulating device having larger energy saving effects is constructed.

    摘要: An inexpensive device for bus coupling between enclosed switchboards with an insulating gas sealed therein has a simple structure and requires a shorter time for installation. The bore shape of a connection port for a coupling bus in a T-shaped bushing is a conical shape having a diameter that increases outwardly. The coupling bus is covered with an insulating rubber member, and a conductive layer is provided on an outer peripheral surface of the insulating rubber member, and grounded. Both ends of the coupling bus that are inserted into the connection ports are formed to have shapes that fit to the conical connection ports.

    摘要: In a signal potential conversion circuit of a DRAM, a first P channel MOS transistor for charging a first node is connected in parallel with a second P channel MOS transistor and the second P channel MOS transistor is turned on in a pulse manner in response to a rising edge of an input signal. Further, the first P channel MOS transistor has its current drive ability defined to be approximately one-tenth of that of an N channel MOS transistor for discharging the first node. Accordingly, each of the first node and a second node can be charged and discharged quickly to enable conversion of a signal potential to be accomplished speedily.
