Abstract:
An electronic album device of the invention recognizes the respective folder structures of a card and a disk, and copies files from the card to the disk by changing the folder number of each folder on the card to a number Mnull which is different from any of folder numbers on the disk while maintaining the same folder structure prepared on the card. Even in the case where the files are copied from the card to the disk and then written back to the card again, the file on the card can be reproduced with the digital camera originally used.
Abstract:
A scan request is analyzed to determine which application has issued the scan request. Depending on the analysis result, it is determined whether image data obtained by scanning a document using a scanner is stored in a semiconductor memory or on a hard disk. The image data is assigned an identifier indicating the recording medium in which the image data is stored, the type of the job, the document, the image file type, and the number of pages. The image data is processed in accordance with the identifier. This allows the data to be processed by the application in an optimum manner depending on the application.
Abstract:
An imaging apparatus, such as a video camera, is arranged to record a first image signal and a second image signal on a first recording medium and a second recording medium, respectively. While recording on the first recording medium the first image signal subjected to a process corresponding to a first special effect, the imaging apparatus records on the second recording medium the second image signal subjected to a process corresponding to a second special effect different from the first special effect.
Abstract:
A digital camera reduces the possibility that a user's release operation is disabled and performs photographing operations at the appropriate times. The digital camera (1) can load a memory card (40a) and a magnetic disk card (40b) as a plurality of recording media, wherein a CPU (17) can independently make accesses to the memory card (40a) and the magnetic disk card (40b). The CPU (17) performs a plurality of tasks in parallel, whereby a captured image is recorded on either one of the memory card (40a) and the magnetic disk card (40b) while predetermined processing is performed on the other. In such a configuration, a captured image which is stored in image memory (21) through a photographing operation can be recorded at an early stage on one of the recording media. This enables continuous photographing and the like even in such a condition that recording on a recording medium which is selected as a subject of recording is not allowed.
Abstract:
A recording apparatus capable of being connected to plural kinds of recording devices alternatively, comprising: connecting unit for connecting the plural kinds of recording devices alternatively; battery for supplying electrical energy to the connected recording device via the connecting unit; memory unit for storing a plurality of minimum potential values each of which is necessary for operating each of the plurality of recording devices; comparing unit for comparing the potential of the battery to be provided against each of the plurality of minimum potential values; and notification unit for notifying usable recording device or devices for recording out of the plural kinds of recording devices or devices on the basis of a comparison result by the comparing unit.
Abstract:
A recording operation control device has a plurality of slot units in which, for example, an IC memory card is mounted. IN a plural record mode, the same image signal is recorded to a plurality of IC memory cards through the slot units. An output voltage of a battery applied to the slot units is detected. When the output voltage of a battery is greater than or equal to a reference voltage in the plural record mode, the slot units are controlled in such a manner that the image signal is simultaneously recorded to the IC memory cards. When the output voltage is less than the reference voltage, the slot units are controlled in such a manner that the image signal is sequentially recorded to each of the IC memory cards.
Abstract:
A recording apparatus is arranged to detect the kind of recording medium used for recording data, and to selectively make, according to the result of detection, either a first display indicative of the absolute value of a remaining recordable capacity of the recording medium or a second display indicative of the ratio of the remaining recordable capacity to a full recordable capacity of the recording medium.
Abstract:
A communication device includes a first holding unit which holds a disk-like first recording medium capable of storing information and a second holding unit which holds a second recording medium which is different from the first recording medium. The communication device further includes a request reception unit configured to receive a request for information indicating a recording medium which is usable by the communication device from a terminal device, and a transmission unit configured to transmit information indicating the first recording medium and information indicating the second recording medium held by the second holding unit to the terminal device when the request is received.
Abstract:
A disclosed managing apparatus and image forming apparatus management system ensure confidentiality of information in an image forming apparatus while usability is maintained. An image forming apparatus acquires IC card identifying information with an IC card reader. A management server acquires a user ID associated with the acquired IC card identifying information and use limit information concerning use of the image forming apparatus. A process is performed in the image forming apparatus in accordance with the use limit information.
Abstract:
To provide an image forming device (20) able to perform an appropriate preview. A MFP (20) that generates an output image (27a) for at least one of transmission and printing (S102) and executes an output using an output image (27a) generated in S102. The MFP (20) generates a preview image (27b) for preview of the output image (27a), stores the preview image (27b) generated in S104 in a storage medium (30) outside of the MFP (20), and performs a preview using the preview image (27b) stored in the storage medium (30) in S109 (S111).
