Abstract:
An information security managing technique for use when a plurality of image processing apparatuses cooperate with each other to process a single job. In a case where a single job is cooperatively executed by a plurality of image processing apparatuses via a network, an image processing apparatus as a cooperation destination determines whether or not an image deletion level designated by an image processing apparatus as a cooperation source in the job is supported. When the image deletion level is not supported, the cooperation-destination image processing apparatus determines whether or not the job can be executed without using an HDD provided in the cooperation-destination image processing apparatus. When the job can be executed without using the HDD, the cooperation-destination image processing apparatus performs control such that the job is executed without using the specific storage medium.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a network apparatuses, which makes it possible to effectively re-establish the cryptographic communication without increasing its processing burden and deteriorating the security aspects of them. The network apparatus that communicates with another network apparatus through a network to exchange cryptographic communication information including a key of cryptograph transmits, when a power off sequence is detected, a request for deleting the cryptographic communication information to the other network apparatus through a communication interface section, before a power source section is turned OFF so as to actually deactivate the network apparatus.
Abstract:
The present invention includes means for processing received data, storage means for storing the data, means for performing an invalidation process on the data stored in the storage means, and means for storing history information about the history of the invalidation process performed.
Abstract:
A CPU of a printing apparatus stores print data that is output from an output apparatus in a storage portion, and waits for the print switch on an operation panel to be operated before printing. If the print data pertaining to printing is administrative-use print data for which the output result is to be provided to a store clerk only once, then the CPU deletes the print data from the storage portion after printing. If the print data pertaining to printing is service-use print data for which the output result is to be repeatedly provided to customers, then the CPU continuously stores the print data in the storage portion after printing.
Abstract:
A digital camera includes an image sensor; a buffer memory adapted to receive images from the image sensor and to store the images therein; an image processor adapted to receive selected images and to process the selected images, including applying a video compression algorithm to the selected images; an image storage device adapted to store the processed, selected images; and an image selector adapted to select the selected images among the stored images in the buffer memory based on at least one image selection criterion, and to cause unselected stored images to be discarded from the buffer memory.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a storing section provided with a box which stores an electronic document file, a first instruction accepting section which accepts an instruction for deleting the electronic document file stored in the box, a second instruction accepting section which accepts an instruction other than the instruction for deleting the electronic document file, a deleting processing section configured to execute processing for deleting the electronic document file stored in the box, when receiving the instruction for deleting the electronic document file, from the first instruction accepting section, and a main processing section configured to execute processing other than the processing for deleting the electronic document file, in parallel with the first deleting processing, when receiving the instruction other than the instruction for deleting the electronic document file, from the second instruction accepting section, while the deleting processing is being executed by the first deleting processing section.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus includes an image input unit that inputs image data, a storage unit that stores the image data inputted by the image input unit, an image output unit that reads the image data from the storage unit to output the read image data, and a data deleting controller that controls a deleting operation of the image data stored in storage unit based upon a condition of an acceptance of a next job.
Abstract:
A special pattern determination section determines whether a special pattern is included in a document image read by a document reading section. If the special pattern determination section determines that the special pattern is included, the breaking pattern applying section applies a breaking pattern to the document image, and the print image generating section accumulates image data of the document image applied with the breaking pattern into a memory. On the other hand, if it is determined that the special pattern is not included, the print image generating section accumulates the image data of the document image directly into the memory. Then, if it is set by a user so as not to print the breaking pattern, the controller deletes image data of the document image accumulated in the memory and applied with the breaking pattern.
Abstract:
Digital camera is connected to personal computer via communication cable. When a user operates a key to delete any one of images recorded on memory card of the digital camera, digital camera requests personal computer to delete an image which links to the deleted image and is stored in personal computer. When receiving this command, personal computer deletes the image linked to the image deleted from digital camera. These processes ensure consistency between an original image stored in the digital camera and a copy image stored in the personal computer.
Abstract:
An MFP can transmit image data read by a scanner by attaching it to E-mail. At the time of transmission, the image data input by the scanner and stored in a work memory is converted into mail data so as to be transmitted by E-mail, and the mail data is stored again into the work memory. The mail data is divided every predetermined reference data size into divided files which are sequentially transmitted as divided mails. When completion of transmission of divided mails corresponding to a unit image is confirmed, the image data and mail data of the unit image are eliminated from the work memory. By sequentially performing such a process, the memory use efficiency can be improved while holding image data of a unit image which has not been transmitted yet.
