摘要: A natural gas dehydrator wherein a portion of the wet glycol from the absorber is pumped under pressure as circulating wet glycol which is used as a coolant for effluents removed from a reboiler and a power source for an educator to form a vacuum in a first chamber of a liquid water removal separator apparatus. The cooled effluents, comprising liquid water, liquid hydrocarbons and uncondensed vapors, move in to the first chamber wherein the liquid water is separated therefrom. The liquid hydrocarbons and the uncondensed vapors are removed from the first chamber and move into the eductor wherein they are combined into the circulating wet glycol. The separated liquid water is transferred to a second chamber of the liquid water removal separator apparatus and then removed therefrom. Also, gases from gas emitting level control apparatus in the natural gas dehydrator are collected and fed into the first chamber.

摘要: A method and apparatus is provided which continuously filters scrubbed gases prior to emission to the atmosphere. In particular, the method and apparatus can continuously scrub the effluent stream from a chemical vapor deposition process, such as the process used to deposit epitaxial silicon. In order to provide this continuous scrubbing, a separation housing having a filter housing is provided that permits the filter to be replaced during and without interruption of the scrubbing and filtering process. The filter housing can define a pair of tracks that guide the insertion and removal of a filter such that inserting a clean filter into one end of the pair of tracks causes a spent filter to be pushed out of the opposed end of the tracks as the clean filter is slid down the tracks.

摘要: This invention is directed to a system and a process for protecting a gas purification system from damage comprising passing a stream of impure gas through a catalyst bed and measuring the temperature difference before and after the catalyzed bed reaction through a data analyzer to determine the impurity of the gas prior to controlling the feed of impure gas into or out of a reactor for producing a purified gas. In a preferred embodiment, the catalytic beds may be in parallel form, and the plurality of temperature measurements before and after the catalytic beds is considered by a data analyzer for controlling the impure gas for feeding into the purification reactor.

摘要: Apparatus for use with a natural gas dehydrator wherein a portion of the wet glycol in an emissions separator is pumped under pressure as circulating wet glycol which may be used as a coolant for effluent removed from a reboiler and/or a power source for an eductor to form a vacuum in a first chamber of a liquid water removal separator apparatus. The cooled effluent, comprising at least liquid water, liquid hydrocarbons and uncondensed vapors, moves into the first chamber wherein the liquid water and/or the liquid hydrocarbons are separated from the uncondensed vapors. At least, the uncondensed vapors are removed from the first chamber and move into the eductor wherein they are compressed and combined into the circulating wet glycol. The separated liquid water is transferred to a second chamber of the liquid water removal separator apparatus and then removed therefrom. In some instances, the liquid hydrocarbons are transferred to a third chamber and removed therefrom. Apparatus is also provided to remove liquid hydrocarbons from the emissions separator. Also, gases from gas emitting level control apparatus are collected and fed into the first chamber.

摘要: Water vapor is introduced into an inlet air stream (16) of an engine (12), for example, by a pervaporation process through a non-porous hydrophilic membrane (18). A water reservoir (20), which can contain contaminated water, provides a vapor pressure gradient across the hydrophilic membrane (18) into the inlet air stream (16), while the rate of delivery of the water vapor to a cylinder (38-40) is self-regulated by the rate of flow of air across the membrane. The hydrophilic membrane (18) therefore also filters the water from the water reservoir (20) to an extent that pure water vapor is provided to the air inlet stream (16). Delivery of water vapor can nevertheless be controlled using a hood (26) that slides over the hydrophilic membrane to limit its exposed surface area. Alternatively, water vapor is introduced into one or more of the gas streams of a fuel cell by separating the gas stream from the wet exhaust gas stream by a hydrophilic membrane such that moisture passes across the membrane to moisten the gas stream and thereby prevent drying out of the proton exchange membrane.

摘要: A cyclone separator, for the separation of particulate materials from a particle-bearing gas or vapour, in which the particle-bearing gas or vapour is injected into a separating chamber (10), and the particles centrifuged to a separating chamber wall (12) of the separating chamber (10) for collection, the separating chamber wall (12) being wetted by a liquid to assist in collection of the centrifuged particles from the separating chamber wall (12), the separating chamber wall being at least partly porous, the separating chamber wall (12) being wetted by the passage of the liquid through the porous part, to provide a more uniform wetting of the separating chamber wall (12), and hence more efficient particulate collection than previously achieved by prior art methods. The cyclone separator of the invention may also be used for the separation and collection of gas or vapour-borne vapours, in place of particulates.
