摘要： A locking apparatus used for controlling a movable chain, strip or strap-shaped object (71) comprising a support frame; a roll shaft (6) with a friction surface or a sprocket pitch slot (64), the roll shaft (6) being fixedly connected to a support rod (66), and one end of the support rod (66) being pivotally connected onto the support frame; a pawl (62) disposed above the roll shaft (6) and capable of rotating around one end; and a pressurization body (3) opposite to the roll shaft (6) along a transverse direction, thereby forming a roll gap between the roll shaft (6) and the pressurization body (3). The roll shaft (6) can freely rotate when the roll shaft (6) is in a middle state. When the roll shaft (6) is forced to downwards pivot until a ratchet disposed on a contact base (65) engages with a ratchet (6302) of the roll shaft (6) to prevent the rotation of the roll shaft (6), the object (71) can be locked. When the roll shaft (6) is forced upwards pivot until the ratchet (6302) of the roll shaft (6) abuts against the pawl (62), the roll shaft (6) can still rotate; when the object (71) changes the direction to downwards move, the pawl (62) engages with the ratchet (6302) of the roll shaft (6) to prevent the rotation of the roll shaft (6) and loses the engagement with the ratchet (6302) of the roll shaft (6) as the roll shaft (6) downwards pivots.

摘要： A memory device for seat belt length in automobiles is fabricated in such a manner that bar codes having some location information are attached to the seat belt so that a bar code reader can detect said information and remember the preferred length of the seat belt for a particular user. Thus, when the user fastens the seat belt, the device automatically adjusts the seat belt length onto him with a comfortable length. By remembering the preferred length of a particular user, such remembered length allows him to quickly and easily fasten his seat belt at a more convenient length.

The spool assembly (60) is operatively coupled to the at least one clamping wedge (46a,b) and this coupling is advantageously via a resilient member such as a coil spring (36a,b). Such a direct link between the clamping wedge (46a,b) and the spool assembly (60) provides for faster, more effective release of the clamping wedge (46a,b) from the belt when the loading on the belt diminishes below the spring bias force.

摘要： The present invention provides a seat belt system in which it is unnecessary to increase a distance of movement of the occupant's body by increasing a length of the seat belt to be drawn out more than it is required, so that an impact given to the occupant can be effectively reduced even in a vehicle in which an intensity of impact tends to increase. There is provided a fuse belt (5) on the lap belt (26b) located close to the anchor plate (14). When a tension, the intensity of which is higher than a predetermined value, is given to the continuous webbing (26), the lap belt (26b) is drawn out. In the retractor (10) having a clamp, there is provided an energy absorbing mechanism. When a tension, the intensity of which is higher than a predetermined value, is given, a holding force to hold the continuous webbing (26) is released and the shoulder belt (26a) is drawn out while a constant drawing force is being kept. Further, the predetermined value at which the lap belt (26b) is drawn out by the action of the fuse belt (5) is set to be lower than the predetermined value at which the shoulder belt (26a) is drawn out by the energy absorbing mechanism of the retractor (10).

摘要： A retractor for a seat belt includes a retractor base, a bobbin fixed to a winding shaft rotatably supported to the retractor base for winding a webbing, and a webbing guide having a first positioning portion located on the side of the bobbin and a second positioning portion located on the side of the upper end of the retractor base. The webbing guide is fixed to the retractor base for regulating a webbing moving path so that the webbing wound around the bobbin is drawn out from a prescribed position on said retractor base. The first and second positioning portions each has a protrusion portion provided with a plurality of protrusions abutting on the surface of said webbing and the surface of each protrusion abutting on said webbing forms a smooth bending face. The retractor provides a small change in the contact resistance between the webbing and the webbing guide positioning the webbing in a retractor base and can maintain smoothness of the draw-out and winding operations of the webbing, so that it is effective to improve the reliability of the draw-out and winding operations in the retractor and also general versatility of the retractor.

摘要： A seat belt retractor for an automotive seat belt includes a housing having a spool arranged therein for winding the seat belt therearound. The seat belt passes between fixed and movable clamp portions arranged within the housing such that, under a condition where a collision sensor activates a pretensioner for tightening the seat belt in an emergency, the movable clamp is moved toward the fixed clamp for applying squeezing pressure to the seat belt to prevent extraction thereof from the retractor housing. The pretensioner may include a gas generator which pressurizes a cylinder so as to move a piston mounted within the cylinder very rapidly. The piston is operatively connected with the movable clamp and the spool via a wire for effecting substantially instantaneous clamping of the seat belt.
