摘要: The present invention provides a single point restraining system for pets. The system is designed to be used with an automotive safety belt restraining system. A first end of the system is a housing having tensioning components therein with the housing having a standard male seat belt connector. An extendable and retractable belt is anchored within the housing, the belt having a connecting end formed by looping a length of material around a male connector. A retraction limiting component is attached to the connecting end of the belt to prevent damage thereto. The housing can be attached to a seat belt receiver and the belt may have a collar attachment for connection to a pet collar.

摘要: A tear-away energy absorbing webbing is a one-piece webbing. The tear-away energy absorbing webbing has a top layer load-bearing web and a bottom layer load-bearing web. An energy absorbing portion of the webbing has binder yarns interlaced with the top and bottom layer load-bearing webs. A sufficiently high load force applied to the webbing breaks the binder yarns and tears apart the top and bottom layer load-bearing webs. The energy absorbing portion absorbs energy as it tears apart. The top and bottom layer load-bearing webs support the load force when the shock absorbing portion is torn apart.

摘要: A force-sensing mechanism (20) comprising: a housing having first (22) and second (24) housing members; a slidable plate positioned between plate portions of the first and second housing members and moveable thereto; various spacers located between the first housing member and the sliding plate to space and stabilize the plate relative to the first and second housing members; a magnetic sensor stationarily mounted between the first and second housing members, a magnet moveable with the sliding member in response to forces applied to the first and second housing members and to the sliding plate; a spring assembly (250) having one end in operative engagement with the sliding plate and another end in operative engagement with the housing while biasing the sliding plate within the housing. An adjustment mechanism (350) is used to assist in the calibration of the bias force acting between the housing members and the sliding plate.

摘要: A yieldable restraint for the upper portion of the child seat for reducing the shock applied to the person sitting on the child seat by restraining equipment in case of a frontal crash. The restraint has an extensive energy-absorbing device in the member connected to the upper portion of the child seat by the tether belt. In case where a large turning force in the forward direction is applied to the child seat mounted on the seat and the connecting member is pulled forward by a force in excess of a prescribed value, the energy-absorbing device extends while absorbing a stress generated by the turning force. The energy-absorbing device may have a stress absorbing groove with crushable portions. Alternatively, a tear seam can be provided on the tether belt wherein the stress is absorbed by the tear seam being torn. Further, the tether belt can be woven so as to elongate while absorbing the stress.

摘要: In a safety belt having a continuous webbing composed of a shoulder side outer webbing piece extended from an upper strengthening member at the side of an automotive body for restricting the breast of an occupant sitting on a seat and a lap side outer webbing piece extended from a lower strengthening member at the side of the body for restricting the waist of the occupant, the continuous webbing has at least one annularly folded portion formed at the continuous webbing and has a plurality of sewing patterns separately sewed adjacent to each other on the folded portion. Thus, the stretching characteristics of shoulder and lap side outer webbing pieces of the continuous webbing are formed to be different to provide buffer and energy absorbing functions of the continuous webbing, thereby further improving the performance of a conventional safety belt.

摘要: A vehicle safety belt system includes a spring rewind belt retractor reel provided with a solenoid actuated brake and a network controlled by an inertia switch to brake the reel by the energization or deenergization of the solenoid and to maintain the reel in a braked condition an adjustable time interval following the deactuation of the inertia switch. The network includes a solid state Darlington switch having across its input a memory capacitor which is charged by the actuation of the inertia switch and a relay across its output which controls the brake solenoid.
