摘要: In order to fit a box lid to a box tray a pair of opposed plates are used. Each plate is pivotably mounted intermediately of its upper and lower edges such that upper edges of the opposed plates may pivot toward and away from each other. Each plate is biased to an inclined position whereat the upper edges of the opposed plates are more proximate than the lower edges of the plates. With this arrangement, a lid may be placed with respect to the pair of opposed plates such that opposed lower edges of the lid are positioned below the upper edges of said plates and at an outward side of said plates. A box tray may then be raised between the plates such that the box tray urges each of the plates away from its inclined position.

摘要: Banknotes are placed for transportation purposes in cassettes comprising a container and a hinged lid, made secure by applying a seal composed of two parts that can be coupled non-releasably and are provided with latch elements appearing as curved teeth positioned to locate in the holes of lugs associated with the container and with the lid. The seals, loaded into a magazine with the two parts spread, are fed and applied to the cassettes by a unit comprising a clamp assembly with retaining pins designed to pick up the seals from an outlet of the magazine and transfer them to a gripper head presenting a pair of arms by which the two parts are taken up and restrained; the arms are mounted to respective pivots on the gripper head so that when the head is made to assume a final operating position adjacent to the lugs on the cassette, the arms can be rotated toward one another, causing the two parts of the seal to couple together with the curved teeth engaging the holes of the lugs, securing the cassette.

摘要: The present invention relates to an apparatus for capping in succession containers transported on a conveyance device. The apparatus comprises a cap dispensing station for applying caps on the containers. The cap dispensing station includes a cap release passage, a gating unit and a movable cap ejector. The gating unit includes a barrier, capable to acquire either one of first and second operative positions, and a barrier drive mechanism. In the first operative position, the barrier at least partially closes the cap release passage for preventing a cap from freely travelling through the passage under the effect of gravity. In the second operative position, the barrier uncovers the cap release passage for allowing a cap to pass through the passage. The cap ejector engages the barrier drive mechanism such that the barrier drive mechanism causes the barrier to acquire the second operative position. The capping apparatus yields the benefit of repeatable accurate cap dispensing over containers to be capped, by virtue of the novel gating unit.

摘要: A housing assembly is provided to define a locally controlled environment to maintain a localized clean work area without the need to maintain cleanliness levels in an entire room as in conventional clean rooms. The housing assembly includes a HEPA filter coupled to an air inlet to filter all of the air entering the housing. An air blower is coupled to the air inlet to feed filtered air into the housing assembly and to maintain a positive air pressure in the housing assembly to prevent unfiltered outside air from entering. Prefillable medical containers, such as syringe barrels and syringe tip closures, are introduced into the housing assembly where the syringe barrels and tip closures are cleaned with filtered ionized air and the tip closures are coupled to the barrels. A thin coating of a lubricant is applied to the inner surface of each of the syringe barrels. The syringe barrels can be filled with a substance. Alternatively, while still in the housing assembly the syringe barrels can be formed into an array and placed in a clean container. A cover is then attached to the tub to completely enclose the array of syringe barrels followed by an outer wrap. Thereafter, the syringe barrels either filled or packaged in the array can be sterilized. The syringe barrels may be prefillable plastic syringe barrels made of a cyclic polyolefin copolymer or polypropylene.

摘要: A method for sealing a container comprising a cup and lid is disclosed. The cup has a lip with a raised sealing bead along its length. During sealing, the raised sealing bead compresses, thereby stretching the adhesive layer on the lower portion of the lid out of the way and forming a direct welded seal with the heat-resistant layer of the lid. The adhesive to either side of the sealing bead forms an adhesive seal between the lid and the remaining portion of the lip. This type of double seal is particularly effective in forming a durable, consistent seal when product is present on the lip of the container. The welded seal is also well suited to situations when the cup may be warped or the sealing bead is otherwise caused to be higher along some portion of its length than along other portions.

摘要: A tamper-indicating closure of integrally molded plastic construction that includes a base wall having a peripheral skirt with internal threads for engaging external threads on a container finish. A tamper-indicating band is connected to the edge of the skirt by a plurality of circumferentially spaced integral frangible bridges. A stop flange extends axially outwardly and radially inwardly from an edge of the band remote from the skirt for inversion and engagement with a bead on the container finish. The stop flange is in the form of a circumferentially continuous base of uniform thickness circumferentially of the band, and either uniform or increasing thickness radially and axially of the band. A plurality of circumferentially spaced lugs are integral with and extend from the base. The lugs widen uniformly from zero thickness at the band to a maximum thickness at the free edge of the flange. The lugs are thus disposed for opposed abutting engagement with the A1 diameter of the container finish beneath the A bead on the container finish. The channels or serrations between the lugs permit drainage of liquid from the area between the skirt and the container finish.
