摘要： A displacement pump has a rotatable drive shaft and at least one piston containing a piston cavity, and a piston shoe flexibly connected with the piston. The piston shoe comprises a shoe passage fluidly connected with the piston cavity. The displacement pump also has a hydrostatic thrust bearing plate comprising at least one thrust pad, and a driveplate connected with the drive shaft and disposed between the piston shoe and the thrust pad. The driveplate comprises a bearing surface proximate to the thrust pad, a pumping surface proximate to the piston shoe, and at least one communication port fluidly connecting the bearing surface with the pumping surface. The driveplate is rotatable to a position in which the piston cavity is fluidly connected with the thrust pad via the shoe passage and the communication port.

摘要： A variable displacement compressor includes a rotor, which is fixed to a drive shaft, and a pivotal swash plate, which is supported on the drive shaft and slides in an axial direction along the drive shaft. A hinge mechanism is located between the rotor and the swash plate. The hinge mechanism rotates the swash plate integrally with the rotor and guides the pivoting and the sliding motion of the swash plate. The hinge mechanism includes a swing arm, which extends from the swash plate. The swash plate is made of aluminum or aluminum alloy material. The swing arm is separate from the swash plate and is made of iron-based metal material. Therefore, while the swash plate is light, the hinge mechanism is strong.

The compressor also includes a plurality of pistons, each of which is positioned within one of the cylinder bores and reciprocates within the cylinder bore. Each of the pistons includes a substantially semispherical cavity formed at an end of the piston. The compressor further includes a pair of shoes positioned between each of the pistons and the swash plate. Each shoe includes a substantially flat surface adapted to be in slidable contact with the swash plate, and a substantially semispherical portion adapted to rotatably engage the semispherical cavity of the piston. Moreover, the semispherical portion of the shoe includes a saddle portion or a groove having a first curved portion and a non-circular perimeter.

摘要： The present invention finds applicability in barrel assemblies defining a ring shaped cavity that is to be fluidly sealed from a central bore. Current barrel assemblies, such as those used in hydraulic pumps, are made from castings. This can be undesirable due to long production time and difficulty in producing consistent components. The present invention is directed to overcoming one or more of these problems by disclosing a barrel assembly and a method for making the same wherein the barrel and the plug are manufactured from the same material, or from materials having similar coefficients of thermal expansion. Thus, upon pump operation and optional heat treatment of the assembled barrel assembly, both the barrel and the plug will expand in a similar manner. The present invention finds application in axial piston pumps, especially for high pressure hydraulic systems, and other two piece components having a cavity requiring a seal.

The alloy comprises between about 12 and 28 weight % cobalt, with the balance substantially comprising tin. The swashplate may further include an intermediate layer of about 100 weight % tin underneath the tin-cobalt alloy layer. Methods of coating a swashplate with the coatings according to the present invention are also provided.
