    摘要: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed towards a connector for a memory device in a computing system. In one embodiment, the connector includes a housing having a cavity to receive a mating end of a printed circuit board (PCB). The cavity includes first groups of first contacts arranged along an inside wall of the cavity, to engage with respective second groups of second contacts arranged around the mating end of the PCB. The cavity further includes a bar disposed inside the cavity to bridge the cavity, to receive a notch formed on the mating end of the PCB. A depth of the notch defines a number of the first groups of first contacts to be engaged with a respective number of the second groups of second contacts on the mating end of the PCB.

The electrical connector element includes at least one clamping slot for being held on the housing body, which slot is open towards an outer edge of the electrical connector element.

In some disclosed implementations, a communications plug including a first and a second plug contact mated with a communications jack having a first and a second plug PIC may form a plurality of plug/jack interfaces. The plug/jack interfaces may form multiple current paths between the communications plug and the communications jack. When a signal propagates between the communications plug and the communications jack, it may be split in the communications plug between a first current path and a second current path, and recombined in the communications jack after traveling through the plurality of plug/jack interfaces.

    摘要: A metallic contact for insertion into a modular telecommunications plug includes a generally planar body defining a top end, a bottom end, a front end, a rear end, and a length extending from the front end to the rear end. The bottom end is at least partially defined by a blade for piercing an insulation of a wire positioned within the plug. At least a portion of the top end is configured to electrically contact a conductor of a jack that receives the plug. The top end is defined at least in part by a first engagement surface that is separated from a second engagement surface by a notch. An uppermost portion of the first engagement surface defines a first push surface that is generally at the same height as a second push surface defined by an uppermost portion of the second engagement surface. The notch is defined by a front vertical wall spaced from a rear vertical wall, wherein the front vertical wall is positioned at a distance of at least half the length of the contact from the front end of the contact.
