    Abstract: A computer that dynamically maps traffic to different versions of software is described. During operation, the computer may receive first traffic from a first tenant and second traffic from a second tenant, where the first traffic and the second traffic are addressed to a common computing environment that supports multiple, different tenants. Then, the computer may identify the first tenant based at least in part on first information included in the first traffic, and may identify the second tenant based at least in part on second information included in the second traffic. Moreover, the computer may dynamically map the first traffic to a first version of software and the second traffic to a second version of the software, where the dynamic mapping occurs at runtime. Note that the computer may concurrently execute the first version of the software and the second version of the software.

    Abstract: A method includes: mapping a to-be-transmitted service flow to a virtual connection based on a mapping relationship between an identifier of the to-be-transmitted service flow and an identifier of the virtual connection; mapping the to-be-transmitted service flow to a virtual bearer based on a mapping relationship between the identifier of the virtual connection and an identifier of the virtual bearer; and mapping the to-be-transmitted service flow to a virtual bearer queue based on a mapping relationship between a quality of service characteristic identifier of the to-be-transmitted service flow and an identifier of the virtual bearer queue in the virtual bearer, to transmit the to-be-transmitted service flow to an OLT.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for providing a system to reconfigure a user's access network to provide varying quality of service (QOS) based on flow identification. For example, a policy server (PS) may transmit a plurality of addresses of virtual private network (VPN) servers associated with a priority status to a cable modem (CM) and/or cable modem termination system (CMTS) associated with a client device. The CMTS may notify the PS when the CM and/or CMTS detects VPN traffic between the client device and a VPN server associated with the priority status. In response to the notification, the PS may transmit an update message to the CMTS, wherein the update message comprises an updated configuration. The updated configuration may be used to update the CM and/or CMTS so that the updated CM and/or CMTS process future data packets according to an updated QoS policy.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for providing network access services to mobile users via multi-user network access terminals over a multi-beam satellite system. Quality-of-service (QoS) is controlled for the mobile devices at a per-user level according to user-specific traffic policies. Mobile users may be provisioned on the satellite system according to a set of traffic policies based on their service level agreement (SLA). System resources of the satellite may be allocated to mobile users based on the demand of each mobile user and the set of traffic polices associated with each mobile user, regardless of which multi-user network access terminal is used to access the system. Dynamic multiplexing of traffic from fixed terminals and mobile users on the same satellite beam can take advantage of statistical multiplexing of large numbers of users and on different usage patterns between fixed terminals and mobile users.
