摘要: A process for the industrial production of wear-resistant steel pipes having an optimized life. The process includes providing a wear-resistant, hardenable steel sheet in an unhardened or tempered state, shaping the steel sheet into a tubular preform in which two longitudinal edges of the steel sheet are positioned opposite one another with a welding gap extending between the two edges, welding the longitudinal edges by forming a welded seam which closes the welding gap, thereby forming a steel pipe, and heat treating the steel pipe. The heat treatment of the steel pipe includes heating the steel pipe at an average heating rate of 5-400 K/s to a hold temperature which is ≥ the Ac3 temperature of the steel and ≥1100° C., holding the steel pipe at the hold temperature for 1-120 s, and cooling the steel pipe at an average cooling rate of 10-600 K/s to room temperature.

摘要: The invention relates weldments useful as heat transfer tubes in pyrolysis furnaces. The invention relates to tubes that are useful in pyrolysis furnaces. The weldments include a tubular member and at least one mixing element. The tubular member comprises an aluminum-containing alloy. The mixing element comprises an aluminum-containing alloy. The mixing element's aluminum-containing alloy can be the same as or different from the tubular member's aluminum-containing alloy. Other aspects of the invention relate to pyrolysis furnaces which include such weldments, and the use of such pyrolysis furnaces for hydrocarbon conversion processes such as steam cracking.

摘要: Provided is a high-strength steel plate for a pressure vessel having excellent low temperature toughness after a post weld heat treatment (PWHT). The high-strength steel plate for a pressure vessel includes: by wt %, 0.02-0.15% of carbon (C), 0.05-0.50% of silicon (Si), 1.0-2.0% of manganese (Mn), 0.005-0.1% of aluminum (Al), 0.015% or less of phosphorus (P), 0.0015% or less of sulfur (S), 0.01-0.03% of niobium (Nb), 0.01-0.03% of vanadium (V), 0.01-0.03% of titanium (Ti), 0.005% or less of chromium (Cr), 0.005% or less of molybdenum (Mo), 0.02-0.50% of copper (Cu), 0.05-0.60% of nickel (Ni), 0.0002-0.0010% of boron (B), 0.0035-0.0065% of nitrogen (N), and a balance of iron (Fe) and other inevitable impurities. A microstructure of the high-strength steel plate includes a complex structure of ferrite having an area fraction of 35-40% and a balance of bainite, and the bainite has a packet size of 15 μm or less.

摘要: The present invention has as its object to inhibit fracture due to a HAZ softened part in substantially circular laser lap welding taking the place of resistance spot welding for joining a superposed plurality of steel sheets including a high strength steel sheet.To solve this problem, the inventors discovered lap welding comprising superposing a plurality of steel sheets and firing a laser to form a substantially circular laser weld (1), which lap welding firing the laser in a straight line through an outer edge of the substantially circular laser weld (1) so as to form a hardened part (8) at the steel sheets and thereby suppressing fracture arising from the HAZ softened part.

摘要: A resistance welded steel pipe is provided. A hot-rolled steel sheet having a composition containing, in mass %, C: 0.025 to 0.168%, Si: 0.10 to 0.30%, Mn: 0.60 to 1.90%, and one or at least two selected from Ca, Nb, V, and Ti such that Pcm is 0.20 or less is subjected to continuous cold roll forming to obtain a pipe-shaped body. Tapered grooves are formed in the steel sheet such that the ratio of the tapered portions to the wall thickness of the steel sheet is 10 to 80%. Then end surfaces of the pipe-shaped body are butted against each other and subjected to electric resistance welding. Ultrasonic waves are transmitted toward the electric resistance weld surface such that a beam width is within the range of 0.1 to 4.0 mm, and the reflected waves are used for ultrasonic flaw detection using an ultrasonic flaw detector.

摘要: A process for brazing of aluminium magnesium alloys is described applying a flux which comprises KAlF4 or CsAlF4 or both as major constituent. The flux further comprises at least one alkaline or alkaline earth metal compound selected from the group consisting of KAlF4, CsAlF4, Li3AlF6, CaF2, CaCO3, MgF2, MgCO3, SrF2, SrCO3, BaF2, and BaCO3. Preferably the flux comprises or consists of KAlF4, CsAlF4, and Li3AlF6 and optionally contains also BaF2.

摘要: A tube assembly includes at least first and second tubes configured for coupling at respective ends. The first and second tubes each include a base material, and a weld interface at the respective end. The weld interface is proximate to an inner diameter and an outer diameter of the first and second tubes, and includes a weld interface segment extending therebetween. A work hardened weld assembly couples the base material of each of the first and second tubes. The work hardened weld assembly includes a weld fusion zone between the weld interfaces of the first and second tubes and the weld interface segments of the first and second tubes. The weld fusion zone is work hardened and at least the weld interface segments of the first and second tubes are work hardened between the work hardened weld fusion zone and the base material of the first and second tubes.

摘要: By using, as a raw material, a thick hot-rolled steel sheet having a chemical composition containing, by mass %, C: 0.02% or more and 0.10% or less, Si: 0.05% or more and 0.30% or less, Mn: 0.80% or more and 2.00% or less, and Nb: 0.010% or more and 0.100% or less and satisfying the condition that a carbon equivalent Ceq is 0.25% or more and 0.50% or less, a microstructure including a bainitic ferrite phase and/or a bainite phase, a high strength of 52 ksi or more in terms of yield strength and a high toughness of −45° C. or lower in terms of fracture transition temperature vTrs, and satisfying the condition that the ratio of the average crystal grain size of the coarsest-grain portion to the average crystal grain size of the finest-grain portion is 2.0 or less in every portion in the wall thickness direction is obtained.
