摘要: Systems and methods of a laser welding device are disclosed. The laser welding device includes a laser generator configured to generate welding-type lasing power. A lens focuses the welding-type lasing power at a focal point on a workpiece to generate a puddle during a welding-type operation. A wire feeder is configured to feed wire to the puddle generated by the laser generator. A laser scanner controls the lens to move the focal point of the welding-type lasing power in multiple dimensions over the workpiece during the welding-type operation. In some examples, the feed wire is used in an additive manufacturing process.

摘要: A method is described for laser welding two joining partners (1d, 2d) made of a metal material and held together in a lap joint, wherein the first joining partner (1d) includes a joining flange (3) having a joint and the second joining partner (2d) includes a joining zone (6d) on a flat side, wherein for the process of laser welding, the first joining partner (1d) is held contacting the joining zone (6d) of the second joining partner (2d) with one side of its joining flange (3d), wherein between the two joining partners (1d, 2d), a gap (10d) widening in the direction pointing away from the side to which the laser is applied is provided and the laser beam (7) is directed in the fillet formed by joining zone (6d) and joining flange (3d) at an angle α of 1° to 45° in relation to the plane of the joining zone 6d and the welding is carried out so that the weld seam (12) formed extends into the gap 10d and in this way in the gap (10d) a gap base SB is formed, by which the opposing surfaces of the joining partners (1d, 2d) are spaced apart.

摘要: A laser scanning welding method for lap joints based on linear energy density regulation includes the following steps 1 to 5. Step 1: welding surfaces of two metal plates of a same material are wiped with anhydrous ethanol; step 2: the two metal plates of a same material are placed in an overlapping manner on a welding operation platform; step 3: a position of a welding focus plane is adjusted; step 4: process parameters of laser scanning welding are set; step 5: parameters of a circular scanning power regulation strategy is calculated and power correction values for the lower plate is set; and step 6: lap welding of the two metal plates of the same material is completed by processing according to the circular scanning power regulation strategy and the power correction values.

摘要: A weld wheel cleaning system is provided to clean or remove a layer of embedded material and other debris produced from welding from the working surface of a weld wheel. Such a weld wheel cleaning system includes a cleaner with an abrasive material positioned on an outer surface of the cleaner. The cleaner is positionable adjacent to the weld wheel such that the abrasive material is aligned with the working surface of the weld wheel. An actuator can be used to selectively actuate the cleaner with a force sufficient to remove the layer of embedded material from the working surface of the weld wheel with the abrasive material. The debris from the cleaner can be removed by a vacuum.

摘要: A method for laser welding two workpieces includes arranging a first workpiece of a thickness D1 and a second workpiece of a thickness D2 on top of one another so that the first workpiece and the second workpiece overlap in a region of overlap. Each of D1 and D2 is 400 μm or less. The method further includes melting, using a laser beam guided along a weld seam, a material of the first workpiece over an entirety of the thickness D1 and a material of the second workpiece over only a partial thickness TD of the thickness D2 in the region of overlap, from a side of the first workpiece. The laser beam generates a vapor capillary that extends to a capillary depth KT into the first workpiece or into the first workpiece and the second workpiece, where 0.33*EST≤KT≤0.67*EST, with EST being a weld depth EST=D1+TD.
