    摘要: This wheel comprises a plurality of vanes (2) arranged on a crown (3) and is equipped with a tip-forming member (10) attached to a central region (32) of the crown or hub of the wheel (1), radially inside the vanes (2), the crown defining a wet surface (31) for guiding a flow (E) passing between the vanes. The tip-forming member (10) is provided with at least one opening (121) for diverting a fraction (E1) of the flow towards the internal volume (V10) of this member. This member comprises a frustoconical annular skirt (11) and at least one fin (15) arranged in its internal volume (V10) and able to modify the path of the flow fraction (E1) entering this volume through the opening (121). This fin (15) extends as far as the edge (112) of the skirt (11) which defines an outlet opening (14) of the member (10) for the flow fraction (E1).

    摘要: A method of controlling wicket gates of a pump-turbine which prevents abnormal hydraulic pressure variation when load carried on the pump-turbine is removed during the turbine operation thereof. The wicket gates are controlled to open when it is detected that discharge per unit head reduces with the reduction of speed per unit head. When it is once detected that the ratio of variation in the discharge per unit head to the variation in the speed per unit head is reversed from a positive value to a negative value, the wicket gates are closed.

The impeller sections are fixedly mounted upon a rotatable shaft and are of a construction which permits the pressure between the impeller sections to engender flexure of the sections away from each other so as to vary the breadth of the impeller assembly.     摘要: A control system for opening and closing a butterfly valve rotatably mounted in a fluid channel is provided. The piston of a servo-motor is operatively connected to the butterfly valve through a weight member and will close the butterfly valve at either a rapid or a slow speed in accordance with the rate of flow of the fluid detected within the channel. The rapid or slow rate of closure is obtained by coupling a main pipe line and a manifold pipe line to a fluid contained tank and to the cylinder of the servo-motor. The main pipe line and the manifold pipe line are separately operative in accordance with valves attached thereto and the rate of closure control is provided by having the cross-sectional area of the main pipe line larger than that of the manifold pipe line so that a different rate of exhaustion of the fluid within the servo-motor will occur depending which line is utilized.

    摘要: A hydraulically driven radial inflow turbine having power takeoff means attached thereto is actuated and controlled by an axially translatable nozzle ring. A manually actuatable trigger mechanism admits a small amount of control fluid which is tapped from a primary source of liquid under pressure into a chamber defined by the nozzle ring and the turbine housing to move the nozzle ring in registering alignment with the primary liquid inlet apertures to the turbine impeller blades. The trigger assembly proportionately supplies hydraulic pressure to the turbine to control the flow of fluid to the turbine thereby controlling the power output.
