The invention also relates to the use of the device for photolytic processes.

    摘要: An electrodeless lighting system includes: a resonator which is installed at an exit of a wave guide for guiding microwave generated from a magnetron and making light pass and microwave resonate therein; a bulb positioned in the resonator and having a luminous portion filled with a luminous material emitting light by the microwave energy and a shaft portion integrally extended from the luminous portion; a resonance control member disposed inside the resonator and having a height controlled according to a position of the luminous portion of the bulb and the entire length of the resonator so as to make optimum resonance of the microwave; and a reflector positioned around the resonator for reflecting light emitted from the bulb. Accordingly, the electrodeless lighting system can facilitate light distribution for achieving lateral lighting and a wider range of lighting and simultaneously improve lighting efficiency.

    摘要: Disclosed are a neon light utilizing a flat plate electrode and a lower plate structure employed in the neon light. In the neon light, an advertisement pattern is expressed by means of discharge spaces formed by carving out one or both of two insulation plates, the upper and lower plates. Therefore, the discharge spaces are integrally formed at the upper plate and/or the lower plate. Further, the electrodes for the electric discharge, which are formed at the upper and lower electrodes, utilize flat plate electrodes. The phosphor elements in the discharge space are excited, so as to emit visible rays to the exterior. Therefore, the present invention decreases the discharge voltage and increases the brightness, while facilitating the manufacture of the neon light.

    摘要: A gas-discharge tube has a glass tube as its main body and a trench is provided in the axial direction of the glass tube on one surface (the surface opposed to the discharge surface) among the external surfaces of the glass tube. An address electrode is placed in the trench. The inner surface of the region of the glass tube where sustain electrodes are placed is formed to have a microscopic unevenness. A secondary electron emission film is formed on this inner surface where the unevenness is formed. In addition, a phosphor support member, whose cross section across the axis is in approximately a C-shape and where a phosphor layer has been formed in advance on the inner surface, is placed inside of the glass tube. Stable discharge characteristics is obtained by eliminating dispersion of the position of an electrode, relative to the gas-discharge tube.
