摘要: A system and method for operating a gateway device to enable monitoring a client device from an operator device via the gateway device. The gateway device being configured to transmit non-data frames associated with the client device to the operating device based on monitoring instructions and information retrieval instructions received from the operating device via a management information base. The gateway device including a memory and a processor configured to receive the monitoring instruction, set a MAC address associated with the client device, and monitor non-data frames based on the MAC address. The processor further being configured to record the non-data frames associated with the client device, store the recorded non-data frames in the memory, and transmit the recorded non-data frames to the operating device based on the received information retrieval instructions.

摘要: Systems, media, and methods are capable of determining a layer 2 destination address that can then be used by a network acceleration application to populate data packets to be transmitted using accelerated networking techniques. The systems and methods provide for a software application executed on a computing device that controls a NIC interface to provide for an accelerated network. The software application resides in the application layer of a networking stack and is interfaced via a virtual NIC or TUN/TAP device with the kernel and the networking stack and operating system (OS) facilities to determine a layer 2 destination address for use in accelerated network applications. Embodiments herein, through the combination above, are able to account for firewall rules, static ARP entries, or any other system-administrator rules put in place for network operations.

摘要: A method and system for assigning slot addresses to modules in a fault tolerant industrial control system includes a pair of backplane switches on each base. Each backplane switch is configured to communicate between one backplane and the modules located on the base and to communicate between backplane switches located at adjacent bases. A backplane switch on a bank master base first assigns a base address and slot addresses to itself. The backplane switches on each additional base initiate transmission of a base address request. A base address response, including a base address and slot numbers for the adjacent base, is transmitted after a base has its own address assigned. Each base repeats the process in sequence along the bank, incrementing the base address by one and the slot address by the number of slots on the base and passing the new base and slot addresses along the bank.

摘要: Provisioning a set of tunnel endpoint aliases for a tunnel endpoint. A request is sent from the first tunnel endpoint to the second tunnel endpoint over a control plane of a network to provision the set of tunnel endpoint aliases. The second tunnel endpoint generates the set of tunnel endpoints and sends a response including the set of tunnel endpoint aliases to the first tunnel endpoint over the control plane. The first tunnel endpoint sends network traffic over the network tunnel that includes a tunnel endpoint alias of the set of tunnel endpoint aliases received.

摘要: A traffic communication system 1 that performs inter-roadside communication being wireless communication between roadside devices 200 includes a roadside device 200A that transmits a message including a MAC address field through inter-roadside communication, and a roadside device 200B that receives the message through inter-roadside communication. The roadside device 200A stores synchronization information in at least a part of the MAC address field. The synchronization information is information different from a MAC address and is used for synchronization between the roadside devices 200.

摘要: A wireless emergency stop system includes a machine safety device connected to a machine stop circuit for stopping operation of a machine when the machine stop circuit is activated. The machine safety device includes a wireless communication interface. The system also includes a mobile device controller configured to control operation of the machine, and a safety stop device. The safety stop device includes a wireless communication interface for wireless communication with the machine safety device, and an emergency stop switch configured to, when activated, transmit an emergency stop signal to the machine safety device to trigger an emergency stop of the machine. The mobile device controller is configured to link with the safety stop device via short-range wireless communication.

摘要: Techniques are described for analyzing information network traffic to identify distinct devices connected to a network based on characteristics exhibited by the devices. Techniques may analyze some or all of network characteristics, device behavioral patterns, and/or device characteristics detected in network traffic. One or more of these characteristics, may be assigned to a profile associated with a device. This profile, by establishing one or more patterns of behavior and/or characteristics, may be used as a “fingerprint” to uniquely identify a device connected to a network even for devices that employ randomized identifiers, such as MAC addresses, that would otherwise obscure unique identification of the device. Profiles exhibiting similar patterns of behaviors and/or characteristics may be identified and merged to avoid duplicate identification of a same device.
