Spectrum optimization according to the present disclosure can be based on various optimization parameters, including but not limited to luminous efficacy, color rendering effect, luminous efficacy of radiation, mesopic efficacy of radiation, cirtopic efficacy of radiation, etc. The present method and system are capable of optimizing illumination performance of a light source in various aspects in an individual or integrated manner. Further, the present method and system are capable of accommodating different illumination purposes and conditions by combining and prioritizing different optimization parameters.

The LED-based lamp has the capability of color matching color spectrums and calibrating its correlated color temperatures, brightness, and hue based on a color model. The light source driver is configured to generate one or more power signals for a plurality of light sources. The controller is communicatively coupled to the sensor and the light source driver. The controller is configured to compare the illumination power detected by the sensor to a target illumination power. The controller is further configured to generate one or more control signals to adjust an electrical power output of the light source driver based on the comparison of the illumination power detected by the sensor to the target illumination power.

摘要: Techniques and devices are provided for sensing image data from a scene and activating primary light sources based on information sensed from the scene. Subsets of a plurality of primary light sources may be activated to emit sensing spectrum of light onto a scene. Combined image data may be sensed from the scene while the subsets of the plurality of primary light sources are activated. Reflectance information for the scene may be determined based on the combined image data and combined sensing spectra. Spectrum optimization criteria for the primary light sources may be determined based on the reference information and a desired output parameter provided by a user or determined by a controller. The plurality of primary light sources may be activated to emit a lighting spectrum based on the spectrum optimization criteria.

摘要: An illumination device and method is provided herein for calibrating individual LEDs in the illumination device, so as to obtain a desired luminous flux and a desired chromaticity of the device over changes in drive current, temperature, and over time as the LEDs age. The calibration method may include subjecting the illumination device to a first ambient temperature, successively applying at least three different drive currents to a first LED to produce illumination at three or more different levels of brightness, obtaining a plurality of optical measurements from the illumination produced by the first LED at each of the at least three different drive currents, obtaining a plurality of electrical measurements from the photodetector and storing results of the obtaining steps within the illumination device to calibrate the first LED at the first ambient temperature. The plurality of optical measurements may generally include luminous flux and chromaticity, the plurality of electrical measurements may generally include induced photocurrents and forward voltages, and the calibration method steps may be repeated for each LED included within the illumination device and upon subjecting the illumination device to a second ambient temperature.
