Abstract:
A detector and method for automatically detecting signet ring cells in an image of a biopsy tissue sample, includes finding in the image, points about which cell membranes appear in radial symmetry; selecting as candidate points, at least ones of the points that have an adjacent nuclei with a predetermined shape feature; and applying a convolutional neural network to the candidate points to determine which of the candidate points are signet ring cells.
Abstract:
A method for wireless network connectivity in a data center includes communicating between nodes in a data center across a wireless interconnectivity through artificially created paths between nodes in the data center, the nodes being at least one of a server, router, switch, and other such components in the data center that require connectivity; and managing the wireless interconnectivity by a control and management entity.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for conveying or transmitting to any given user in an OFDMA-MU-MIMO system scheduling information of other co-scheduled users to permit the user to perform error-correction on received data and/or interference reduction on its received signals. The scheduling information can include resource block assignment, modulation constellations employed, coding rates employed, power levels utilized and precoder matrix indices used. Further, the scheduling information can be conveyed in part through dedicated reference symbol layers or pilot streams. Moreover, a base station may transmit a preliminary estimate of the total number of users the base station expects to schedule, or an upper-bound on the total number of users, to the MU-MIMO users to permit the MU-MIMO users to determine preferred precoder matrix indices and indications of channel quality indices.
Abstract:
A method of obtaining a resolution-based proof of unsatisfiability using a SAT procedure for a hybrid Boolean constraint problem comprising representing constraints as a combination of clauses and interconnected gates. The proof is obtained as a combination of clauses, circuit gates and gate connectivity constraints sufficient for unsatisfiability.
Abstract:
A method by an optical OFDM receiver includes converting a received optical signal to an electrical signal, deriving a digital signal from the electrical signal, and emulating, with an iterative OFDM demodulator responsive to the digital signal, a transmitter effect in the received signal of lower peak clipping and top peak distortion and applying the transmitter effect to the received signal and a decision-made signal for estimating an error function to be applied to a demodulation of the received optical signal.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are disclosed to classify an input image by determining a spatial-pyramid image representation based on sparse coding; determining a descriptor for each interest point in the input image; encoding the descriptor; and applying max pooling to form the spatial pyramid representation of images.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for reusing macro cell resources in femto cell base stations or relay stations in a non-collaborative manner are disclosed. In addition, orthogonal resource allocation between a macro cell base station and femto cell base stations/relay stations may be dynamically adjusted by considering user-population variance. Moreover, an additional level of spatial reuse by femto cell base stations or relay stations can be provided by employing macro cell user location information.

Abstract:
A system and method for generating test vectors includes generating traces of a system model or program stored in memory using a simulation engine. Simulated inputs are globally optimized using a fitness objective computed using a computer processing device. The simulation inputs are adjusted in accordance with feedback from the traces and fitness objective values by computing a distance between the fitness objective value and a reachability objective. Test input vectors are output based upon optimized fitness objective values associated with the simulated inputs to test the system model or program stored in memory.
Abstract:
A region of a node is searched to find a content-defined split point. A split point of a node is determined based at least in part on hashes of entries in the node and the node is split based on the determined split point. The search region is searched for the first encountered split point and the node is split based on that split point. That split point is based on a predetermined bitmask of the hashes of the entries in the node satisfying a predetermined condition.
