Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for scheduling traffic between a transmitting device and a receiving device. A transmitting device negotiates with a receiving device to reserve a plurality of slots for communicating data with the receiving device. The transmitting device then sends, at a beginning of one slot of the reserved plurality of slots, a request-to-send (RTS) message indicating a number of slots of the reserved plurality of slots the transmitting device intends to use for transmitting the data. The transmitting device receives, from the receiving device, a clear-to-send (CTS) message in each slot of the number of slots based on the RTS message and transmits the data to the receiving device in each slot of the number of slots upon receiving the CTS message in each slot. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a millimeter wave repeater may communicate with a base station using a first set of antennas and a first beamforming configuration for the first set of antennas, the first beamforming configuration being selected from a beamforming codebook that includes multiple beamforming configurations; and communicate with one or more user equipments (UEs) using a second set of antennas and a second beamforming configuration for the second set of antennas, the second beamforming configuration being a fixed configuration that does not change for different communications between the second set of antennas and the one or more UEs. Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable mediums for wireless communication are disclosed by the present disclosure. In an example, a client wireless device may transmit a random access channel (RACH) preamble on a first time domain resource to a recipient such as a host wireless device. The client wireless device may later transmit a second RACH message to the recipient on a second time domain resource after the first time domain resource. The second time domain resource may be defined by a mapping from the first time domain resource. The recipient may transmit a third RACH message establishing a communication session between the host wireless device and the client wireless device. The second RACH message may include one or more of: an identifier of the wireless device; an identifier of the recipient of the second RACH message; a resource configuration for subsequent RACH messages; or timing information.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that improve privacy in wireless communications, such as communications by a user equipment (UE), which may in some cases be a vehicle UE. For example, various vehicle-to-everything (V2X) transmissions may be unencrypted, and a vehicle may be expected to periodically change one or more identifiers it uses for various communication services. Privacy may be enhanced, for example, via encryption key roll-over, as well as roll-over of one or more other identifiers associated with a UE that may potentially be used by an observer to track the UE. The UE may transmit a message that includes an updated lower layer identifier (e.g., a layer-2 (L2) identifier) to another UE in a V2X unicast communications link, which may trigger a change in identifiers of a set of identifiers and an updated security context. All or a portion of the message may be encrypted.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may concurrently configure repeaters in a wireless communications system via multicast control messaging. The base station may identify a quantity of repeaters in communication with the base station. Some repeaters may be in communication with the base station via other repeaters, for example in a chain configuration. The base station may prepare a multicast message including control information for the quantity of repeaters. In some examples, the base station may transmit the multicast message directly to each repeater in the quantity of repeaters, which may be referred to as a single hop control transmission. In some examples, the base station may transmit the multicast message via one or more chains of repeaters, which may be referred to as a multi-hop control transmission. The described techniques may include improved repeater operations and promote efficient repeater communications, among other benefits.

Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may perform a slot reservation procedure to obtain a TxOP for communicating with a second UE. The slot reservation procedure may be performed in an earliest slot in the TxOP in which the first UE has data to send to the second UE. The apparatus may transmit the data to the second UE using at least one slot in the TxOP when the slot reservation procedure is successful. In certain aspects, all remaining slots in the TxOP may be reserved for the first UE when the slot reservation procedure is successful. The apparatus may refrain from performing a subsequent slot reservation procedure in another slot in the TxOP when the slot reservation procedure is unsuccessful unless an end of transmission signal is received during the TxOP.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable mediums for wireless communication are disclosed by the present disclosure. In an example, a relay node may determine a first predicted motion of a first vehicle including a first wireless communication device having a first established communication channel with the relay node. The relay node may determine that the first predicted motion will trigger a communication condition for the first vehicle and a second wireless communication device having a second established communication channel with the relay node. The relay node may reserve radio resources for a third communication channel between the first wireless communication device and the second wireless communication device.
