Abstract:
Aqueous-alcoholic solutions of hydrogenated coconut or palm kernel oil alkylamidopropylbetaines with a betaine content of greater than 50%, which are fluid, stable and pumpable are described as occupying a well-defined zone of their betaine/water/ethanol ternary diagram. They are prepared by synthesis and quaternization of the amidoamine directly in the solvent medium in which they are defined.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the bleaching of fabrics with liquid compositions comprising a peroxygen bleach and a solvent system comprising a hydrophilic solvent and a hydrophobic solvent. These compositions deliver improved stain removal on a variety of stains including bleachable stains, greasy stains, enzymatic stains and mud/clay stains.
Abstract:

Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a disinfecting compositions of pH 2-7 comprising:a) 1-30 wt. % on product of an ethoxylated nonionic surfactant;b) less than 50 wt. % of total surfactant of anionic surfactant;c) 0.005-5 wt. % on product of a water-soluble, anionic polymer having an average molecular weight of less than 1,000,000, wherein, the ratio of polymer: nonionic is 0.1:1 or less; andd) 0.1-15 wt. % on product of an antimicrobial agent selected from the group comprising:i) benzoic acid derivatives, dicarboxylic acids, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkanols and mixtures thereof.
Abstract:
A light duty liquid detergent with desirable cleansing properties and mildness to the human skin comprising: a sulfonate surfactant, an alkali metal or ammonium salt of a C.sub.8-18 ethoxylated alkyl ether sulfate anionic surfactant, a sulfoacetate, sulfosuccinate or carboxylate surfactant, and water.
Abstract:
A surface disinfectant and cleaning composition includes (a) a biocidal agent selected from the group consisting of glyoxal, glutaraldehyde, and mixtures thereof, (b) 0.001 to 1% by weight of a fluoroaliphatic tenside selected from the group consisting of perfluoroalkanoic acids wherein the alkane residue has 1 to 10 carbon atoms, alkali and ammonium salts thereof, and mixtures thereof, (c) 0.002 to 5% by weight of at least one ultraviolet absorber, (d) 0.001 to 3% by weight of an optical brightener selected from the group consisting of benzotriazole derivatives, stilbene disulfonic acid derivatives, and mixtures thereof, and (e) a solvent selected from the group consisting of water, water-soluble alcohols, and mixtures thereof, and having a pH value of 2.5 to 5.0.
Abstract:
Fabric softening actives having hydrophobic moieties containing, preferably, ester, or amide, linkages and mixed branched and unsaturated hydrophobic groups provide improved processing and stability as well as surprisingly good softening. Preferred compositions contain mono-ol and diol principal solvents having a ClogP of from about 0.15 to about 0.64, that have the ability to make clear aqueous fabric softener compositions containing relatively high concentrations of the said fabric softener actives having ester linkages in their long, hydrophobic chains. Other solvents may be present. Premixes of the fabric softening actives, the principal solvents, and, optionally, other solvents are useful in the preparation of complete formulations by obviating/limiting the need for heating. Other compositions can be prepared which are solid or dispersions of the said fabric softening actives.
Abstract:
A disinfectant-detergent composition is provided comprising amphoteric surfactant comprised of imidazolinium betaine as a main detergent, a cationic disinfectant, lower alcohol and an emollient. The disinfectant-detergent composition of the present invention has an excellent disinfecting effect, and a moderate cleansing effect without causing skin roughness, stickiness or an unfavorable reaction with a quick drying type disinfectant.
Abstract:
A method of removing deposits from surfaces of showers and the like without scrubbing or wiping by using a composition that includes a non-ionic surfactant having an HLB of 13 or less, a chelating agent, and optionally, alcohol and/or ammonium hydroxide and/or morpholine.
