Abstract:
An airtight door of the type including at least one sliding panel mounted in a guide track and supported by a plurality of rollers and sealed by a seal structure and provided with a heat wire, tape or strip to establish a frost free seal. The structure disclosed is adapted for use in a door as illustrated and also is adapted for use in sliding windows or similar closures.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a bowden cable window lift with two guide rails along which the window pane is guided in sliding manner by means of two drive plates actuated by the bowden cable. To compensate for lack of parallelism of the guide rails due to assembly of the window lift, adjustment means are mounted on at least one drive plate whereby the pan can be tipped in its plane and furthermore allowing lateral displacement of the pane relative to the guide rail guiding the drive plate. The adjustment means effecting the tipping of the pane is an adjustable and lockable eccentric stud, and the lateral adjustment of the pane is implemented by an elongated slot in the drive plate within which the eccentric stud is moved transversely.
Abstract:
The door member of a self-closing hinge includes a cup which is concealed within a pocket formed in the inner side of a door. A curl on the frame member of the hinge pivotally receives a hinge pin which is carried by the cup. To effect the self-closing action, a leaf spring is mounted on the outer side of the end wall of the cup and includes a tongue which extends through an opening in the end wall and into resilient bearing engagement with the curl.
Abstract:
A self-closing isolation door installation adapted to swing between a closed and an open position. A resilient gasket is connected about the periphery of the door to insure a tight seal. The door has a rotatable first hinge vertically mounted and adapted for mounting to the side of a door frame. A second self-closing hinge is provided including an elongated C-shaped bracket mounted into the edge of the door. The C-shaped bracket includes a vertical support strut, upper arm and lower arm. A support shaft is vertically fixed between the upper arm and the lower arm. A housing bracket is mounted to the shaft and is adapted for mounting to the side of the door frame. The housing bracket defines an inverted V-shaped cam surface. A cam follower including a radially spaced apart inner follower roller and an outer follower roller is mounted around the shaft with the outer roller adapted for vertical movement within a slot in the strut and the inner roller is engageable to follow the cam surface. A compression spring mounted around the shaft biases the follower body to bias the inner roller against the V-shaped cam surface and thereby to apply closing force to the door through the outer roller within the slot to rotate the C-shaped bracket and the door.
Abstract:
An articulated hinge for the pivotal connection of a door leaf to the carcass of a furniture piece from whose carcass wall a frame protrudes at right angles, which frame has an end face delimiting an unobstructed door opening. The hinge has a door-related mounting part pivotally connected via a link mechanism with a carcass-related mounting part which comprises a flange plate which holds the linkage mechanism and which is detachably connectable to the end face of the frame. Below the bottom side of the flange plate facing the frame end face there is an adjustment plate which is displaceable by a predetermined measure relative to the flange plate in the longitudinal direction of the frame end face. The surfaces of the flange plate and the adjustment plate which face each other are provided with at least one complementary inclined ramp surface each, which upon displacement of the adjustment plate relative to the flange plate slide on each other up and down, respectively, and effect a change in the distance of the flange plate from the end face of the frame and thereby a corresponding change of the measure of the overlap of the frame by the engaged door leaf.
Abstract:
A self-closing door hinge is characterized as that the door can be automatically closed after opening the door and released by hand without any other power aid. Said self-closing door hinge comprises: A main hinge and two auxiliary hinges. Said main hinge is composed of: a right hinge leaf with sleeve, and a left hinge leaf with pivot. Said pivot of left leaf is provided with extended pin rollers which engage with the grooves in said sleeve of the right leaf.Said grooves are made horizontally from 0 degree through 50 degrees based on the zero degree line as door closing and then inclined upwards from 50.degree. through 180.degree.. Whenever opening the door, the pivot of the left hinge leaf fixed on the door will be rotated so that the pin rollers thereof may be slipped along the grooves so as to raise the left hinge leaf and door upwards against the right hinge leaf which is fixed on the door frame. The raised door having potential will automatically fall by the gravitational force so as to close the door itself.
Abstract:
An assembly for hermetically sealing an opening in a wall comprises a sliding door having sealing means along its bottom edge and along the top and lateral edges of its face adjacent the wall, and suspension rollers which slidably mount the door on a rail fastened to the wall and which are movable along the rail. The rail comprises fixed sections between adjacent ones of which are two sections which are movable between a first position in which the movable sections are aligned with the fixed rail sections and the door is disposed in a raised, clear position which permits it to move along the rail without obstruction, and a second position in which the movable sections are displaced downwards and towards the wall with respect to the fixed rail sections and the door is applied against the wall so that the opening is hermetically sealed. The rollers are arranged to engage the two movable sections respectively when the door is opposite the opening whereby the sections are moved to the said second position.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns a device for closing, holding open and holding closed a door or equivalent, in which device all the functions mentioned have been advantageously combined in one device entity. Furthermore, the invention concerns such a combination of a hinge of a door or equivalent and a device for closing, holding open and holding closed the same which can be countersunk out of sight in the door and/or its frame so that all these devices are invisible when the door is closed. When a device according to the invention is used, no particular device, provided with a turning handle, for keeping it closed need be installed because also this function has been combined with the other functions of the device.
