Abstract:
A door closer, comprising a door closer housing mounted to one of a door frame or a door surface and a linkage arm for pivoting the door between open and closed positions. The linkage arm has a first and second end, the first end mounted to the other of the door frame or the door surface. The door closer includes a rotatable connector between the linkage arm and the door closer housing, the linkage arm second end engaging with the rotatable connector. The connector has a rotatable body portion and head protrusion substantially secured in a female receptor to transmit rotation about a longitudinal axis of the connector. One or both of the head protrusion or female receptor has a curved profile and is further movable with respect to the head protrusion to permit limited rotational misalignment of the linkage arm on any axis perpendicular to the connector longitudinal axis.
Abstract:
A motor vehicle window regulator in which a matrix coating is applied to a metal blank. The matrix coating is comprised of particles of a fluoropolymer (such as polytetrafluoroethylene) carried in an organic polymer binder. The coated metal blank is cold-formed to the shape of a guide rail with a longitudinal track disposed along an edge of the guide rail. A window slider is mounted onto the guide rail to slide along the longitudinal track, so that the fluoropolymer particles lubricate the sliding of the window slider on the longitudinal track.
Abstract:
The instant disclosure relates to a door damping apparatus for connecting to a door and an immobile frame. The door damping apparatus includes a shaft seat, a shaft, a cylinder, a piston, a spring unit, a check valve and a throttle valve. The interior of the shaft seat is formed with a fluid passage and a reservoir to store hydraulic fluid. The throttle valve projects into the fluid passage to adjust the flow of the hydraulic fluid, thus allowing the door to be opened smoothly and gently self closes.
Abstract:
Frameless window which comprises a transparent pane, the lower edge of which is fixed in the slot of one or more holders by at least one layer of adhesive and is joined to the walls of the slot of the holders by at least two layers of a first adhesive applied close to the lateral ends of the slot, wherein at least one layer of a second adhesive is applied in the slot between the layers of the first adhesive. A process for manufacturing the window is also disclosed.
Abstract:
System for manufacturing frameless windows which comprise a transparent pane, the lower edge of which is fixed in the slot of one or more holders by at least one layer of adhesive, which system comprises a work-table suitable for supporting the pane with the lower edge turned upwards and one or more mobile supports suitable for moving downwards the holders toward the pane, so that the holders can be inserted astride the lower edge, turned upwards, of the pane. In addition, a process is disclosed which can be carried out with the system.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a supporting element which takes the form of an angle bar. Suitable means are used to provide the bar with a cable guide sheave and the supporting element and the sheave, together with the aforementioned means, are mounted on a guide section of the type used in window regulators. Preferably, a supporting element and a sheave are provided close to each of the ends of the above-mentioned section.
Abstract:
A vehicle door includes an inner panel having strengthening corrugations to function as an impact beam, thereby negating the need for a separate impact beam. The inner panel is preferably characterized by a generally concave shape to increase vehicle interior space compared to prior art doors. A forming technique employing fluid pressure is preferably employed to form the inner panel.
Abstract:
A method of aligning and duplicating alignment includes welding a washer over a larger opening in a hinge once in an aligned position relative to a vehicle door. The door is mounted into an alignment fixture and the hinges are installed over threaded studs extending from the door. The washer is placed onto the threaded stud and tightened against the hinge, covering the larger opening in the hinge. The larger opening in the hinge allows movement of the hinge relative to the door for alignment. The washer defines an opening with a smaller opening sized to provide relatively little clearance for the threaded stud, and thereby maintain alignment between the door and hinge. The washer is permanently attached by a welding operation to allow duplication of door hinge alignment during reassembly.
Abstract:
A device for electrically driving a cable-actuated window regulator includes a casing and an electric motor. The electric motor drives an endless screw meshing with a toothed ring surrounding a conventional brake box that is connected to a cable winding drum disposed in the housing. The toothed ring presents a frontal wall obturating the opening of a cylindrical sleeve forming the casing of the brake box. The drum and the frontal wall define fingers capable of cooperating with the ends of a helical spring disposed in the cylindrical sleeve.
Abstract:
An assembly including a first, second, and third component, the first component being secured to the second component by a deformed portion to provide a subassembly, in which the deformed portion is utilized to releaseably secure the third component to the sub assembly via a fourth component.
