Abstract:
A removable applicator nozzle for use in treating a wound is provided. The removable applicator nozzle includes a nozzle, a valve and a cup. The nozzle includes a proximal portion, a distal opening and a valve interface. The proximal portion of the nozzle is engagable with a portion of a transducer of an ultrasound wound therapy device. The distal opening of the nozzle allows at least a portion of a tip of the transducer to pass therethrough. The valve is engagable with the valve interface of the nozzle and the valve selectively allows fluid to flow therethrough. The cup includes an aperture and a puncturing device. The aperture is engagable with the valve and the puncturing device is able to puncture a bottle that is inserted on the cup. Fluid flows from the bottle, through the aperture and the valve and onto a tip of the transducer. The fluid is then moved to the distal opening of the nozzle by a vacuum effect.
Abstract:
A massager device that provides a liquid applicator that dispenses a liquid and provides a massaging effect is disclosed. The massager device comprises a massage head adapted to engage a reservoir for storing a liquid, a liquid dispensing component engaged to the reservoir for applying the liquid, and a vibratory component for vibrating the massager device such that the user may simultaneously apply the liquid and provide a massaging effect.
Abstract:
The hand-held appliance includes an elongated handle connected to a head assembly. The head assembly has a motor-driven rotatable output shaft. The appliance is designed for use with a detachable cleansing unit that includes a housing. A fluid reservoir is situated within the housing. The cleansing unit is detachably connected to the output shaft. The unit also includes cleansing means. The fluid reservoir is connected to the cleansing means by a port such that fluid from the reservoir is dispensed from the cleansing means as the unit is rotated. The effective size of the port can be regulated to control the amount of fluid dispensed.
Abstract:
A method and liquid-filled apparatus for male masturbation is disclosed. The method and apparatus incorporates an inner sheath (10) made from a pliable waterproof material that, when assembled within an outer containment vessel (12) by the application of a container sealing cap (14), forms a sealed chamber within the vessel (12) and outside the sheath (10) that can contain a warm liquid. The present method and apparatus creates an enhanced penile sensory experience by incorporating a fluid transmitting means by a predetermined number of holes (26) in the sheath (10) and a heat transferring means by the material from which the sheath (10) is constructed. By unscrewing the cap (14) from the vessel (12) and removing the sheath (10), an operator can conveniently clean the apparatus or reassemble the apparatus with other design variations of the sheath (10), vessel (12), and cap (12) made available to the operator to create a wide range of sensory experiences.
Abstract:
An apparatus (10) and a method for treating patients suffering from vascular disease with infra-, audible- and ultrasound waves. The apparatus (10) includes a treating head (15) for emitting sound waves with frequencies ranging from 1 Hz to 100 kHz and introducing the sound waves through a coupling medium (20) into a body portion (22) to be treated, an electronics (12) connected to the treating head (15) for energizing the treating head (15) to emit the sound waves, and a control panel (11) connected to the electronics (12) to choose the electronic waveform of the energizing.
Abstract:
A system for enhancing absorption of a substance provided on a region of a patient's skin, includes a probe configured to provide the substance to the region of the patient's skin. The probe includes an array of electrodes provided on a head of the probe. The probe also includes a substance holding unit that temporarily holds the substance to be provided on the region of the patient's skin. The probe further includes a pulse generator that generates a sequence of bursts of electrical pulses to the array of electrodes that are disposed against the region of the patient's skin, so as to provide the bursts of electrical pulses to the region of the patient's skin. The probe also includes a substance applying unit that transfers the substance from the substance holding unit to the head of the probe. The pulse generator provides for pulses to be output in alternate polarities in each of the sequence of bursts.
Abstract:
The transportation of therapeutic substances through internal tissue is enhanced by surgically implanting an ultrasound transducer in immediate proximity to the target tissue and oriented to direct ultrasound having selected characteristics toward the target tissue. The parameters of frequency, mechanical index, pulses per cycle and pulse repetition frequency are selected within defined ranges to cause molecules to be transported at a rate and over a distance substantially greater than by natural diffusion.
Abstract:
A massager is disclosed to include a receiving barrel has a barrel body, a receiving hole axially formed inside of the barrel body, a massage head formed at front end of the barrel body, a plurality of release holes radially and equiangularly throughout the barrel body, the release holes are nearby the massage head with a predetermine distance; an ion generating device has a main body of circular cylinder mounted inside the receiving hole of the receiving barrel, an ion generating end nearby the release holes of the receiving barrel.
Abstract:
A female stimulation device and method for enhancing female sexual stimulation. The device includes a body having a tip portion, a flange, and an intermediate side wall portion. The intermediate side wall portion extending from the tip portion to the flange. The vacuum produced by the device can be controlled, and additional structures and elements may be added to enhance clitoral blood flow and stimulation without causing injury when the device is applied to a user.
Abstract:
The present invention generally relates to a device for applying a pulsating pressure to a local region of the body and applications thereof. The device may be used to increase the blood flow in a local region of the body, and in preferred embodiments provides a device for regulating the core body temperature of a patient.
