    Abstract: A musical sound generation device including a first memory having a plurality of storage areas where waveform data is read out and stored, a waveform generator which functions as a plurality of waveform generating sections each of which generates a waveform for emitting a sound by reading out waveform data from a selected storage area of the first memory; and a control processor which determines, when an instruction for sound emission is provided, a combination of a waveform generating section and a storage area to be used for the instructed sound emission, based on a status of reading waveform data from each storage area by each waveform generating section.

    Abstract: An electronic timepiece includes indicators, an operation receiving unit, a timing unit and a processor. The operation receiving unit receives an operation performed by a user. The timing unit counts a date and time at present. The processor carries out operation control of the indicators and obtains a local time setting based on a time difference between a predetermined standard time and a local time at a target position. The processor makes at least apart of the indicators display the local time in accordance with the operation received by the operation receiving unit and obtains the local time setting based on a difference between the displayed local time and the date and time counted by the timing unit.

    Abstract: An electronic musical instrument includes a plurality of keys respectively specifying different pitches when operated; a memory; and a sound processor. In response to a current operation of a current key, which is one of the plurality of keys, the sound processor retrieves the information stored in the memory for a previous operation, if any, of a previous key, which is a same as the current key or is another one of the plurality of keys, and performs a prescribed processing on a beginning part of the waveform data generated for the current operation of the current key in accordance with the retrieved information stored in the memory for the previous operation of the previous key so as to generate processed waveform data in response to the current operation of the current key. The resulting processed waveform data can be configured to better mimic artists' performance of an original instrument.
