    摘要: An automatic composition apparatus includes a processing unit. The processing unit performs a note pitch shift process, a matching-level calculating process and a melody generating process. The note pitch shift process performs pitch shift on pitches of individual note data items included in an input phrase. The matching-level calculating process calculates a matching level between a phrase including note data items subjected to the pitch shift and a designated chord progression data item, with reference to a plurality of note connection rules each of which defines a connection relation of consecutive note types, if the pitch shift is performed. The melody generating process generates a melody based on the phrase which includes the note data items subjected to the pitch shift and which is selected based on the calculated matching level.

    摘要: A waveform producing method includes a step of producing a waveform presenting style-of-rendition characteristics corresponding to style-of-rendition identification information, on the basis of individual vector data arranged on the time axis. Each style-of-rendition identification information is representative of style-of-rendition characteristics of a performance tone and indicates one of a plurality of styles of rendition to which the style-of-rendition characteristics correspond. A plurality of vector data are generated, in accordance with the received style-of-rendition identification information, for production of a waveform presenting the style-of-rendition characteristics. The vector data correspond to a plurality of different fundamental waveform factors for constituting a waveform. By arranging the individual vector data on the time axis, a waveform shape or envelope corresponding to the waveform factors can be built along a reproducing time axis of the performance tone. Thus, there can be produced a performance tone waveform presenting the style-of-rendition characteristics corresponding to the style-of-rendition identification information.

As a result, audio effects that require the chord information may be substantially synchronized with the audible broadcast of the accompaniment audio. The present teachings may be especially suitable for use in karaoke systems, to correct and add sound effects to a singer's voice that sings along with a pre-recorded accompaniment track.

    摘要: An electronic musical instrument includes a plurality of keys respectively specifying different pitches when operated; a memory; and a sound processor. In response to a current operation of a current key, which is one of the plurality of keys, the sound processor retrieves the information stored in the memory for a previous operation, if any, of a previous key, which is a same as the current key or is another one of the plurality of keys, and performs a prescribed processing on a beginning part of the waveform data generated for the current operation of the current key in accordance with the retrieved information stored in the memory for the previous operation of the previous key so as to generate processed waveform data in response to the current operation of the current key. The resulting processed waveform data can be configured to better mimic artists' performance of an original instrument.
