Abstract: A sewage filtering and purifying device has at least one purifying module having multiple filters and multiple electrolyzing assemblies connected in series. Each electrolyzing assembly has a flow pipe and two electrodes disposed inside the flow pipe. The two electrodes are configured to be polarized for respectively being a cathode and an anode. When treated by the sewage filtering and purifying device, sewage first flows through and is filtered by the multiple filters; then the sewage flows through and is electrolyzed by the multiple electrolyzing assemblies. Since the sewage is filtered by the multiple filters first, the sewage can be electrolyzed better in the multiple electrolyzing assemblies, and harmful substances in the sewage can be oxidized or reduced and transformed to harmless substances. Thereby, the sewage is purified better.

Abstract: A water treatment system is disclosed having an electrolytic cell for liberating hydrogen from a base solution. The base solution may be a solution of brine for generating sodium hypochlorite or potable water to be oxidized. The cell has first and second opposing electrode end plates held apart from each other by a pair of supports such that the supports enclose opposing sides of the end plates to form a cell chamber. One or more inner electrode plates are spaced apart from each other in the cell chamber in between the first and second electrode plates. The supports are configured to electrically isolate the first and second electrode plates and the inner electrode plates from each other. The first and second electrode plates are configured to receive opposite polarity charges that passively charge the inner electrode plates via conduction from the base solution to form a chemical reaction in the base solution as the base solution passes through the cell chamber.

Abstract: An electrochemical oxidation reactor includes rotatable electrodes inside a reactor vessel. The electrodes treat liquid within the reactor and are mounted to support plates, which in turn are mounted on each of two independently-driven shafts. The plates are attached to each other in a spaced relationship so that a gap is formed therebetween. The gap is sized to receive liquid to be treated so that liquid located within the gap will react with the electrodes. The shafts are rotatable at equal or different relative rotational speeds and directions. Additionally, each shaft may be independently linearly displaced in an oscillatory movement at equal or different frequencies. The relative shaft rotation, direction and axial vibration translate similar movements to the electrodes and such movement generates turbulence to the liquid located within the gap. The turbulence increases the interaction between liquid and the electrodes.

Abstract: An electroflotation apparatus for removing impurities from waste water is disclosed. The apparatus comprises an electrolytic cell for treating the waste water and generating a flock containing the impurities as well as an outlet pipe having a linear central axis located co-axially with the electrolytic cell for passing the water and flock from the electrolytic cell to a separation area. The outlet pipe comprises a first end connected to the electrolytic cell and having a first diameter, as well as a second end through which the treated water and flock exit the outlet pipe, the second end having a second diameter. A length extends between the first diameter and the second diameter. The ratio of the second diameter to the first diameter is between 1.5:1 and 6:1. The ratio of the length to the first diameter is between 7:1 and 45:1. The outlet pipe reduces the turbulence of the treated water from the electrolytic cell before the treated water is passed to the separation area such that aggregation of the flock in the separation area is increased.

Abstract: An apparatus for producing reforming liquid includes a treatment tank in which an introduced liquid is swirled so as to generate a gas phase in the vicinity of a swirling center of a swirling flow of the liquid, a first electrode which has at least a portion which is disposed in the treatment tank and comes into contact with the liquid in the treatment tank, a second electrode which is disposed so as to come into contact with the liquid in the treatment tank and a power source which is configured to apply a voltage between the first electrode and the second electrode so as to generate plasma in the gas phase. A reformed liquid is produced in a manner that the plasma is generated in the gas phase so as to form a reformed component, and the formed reformed component is dissolved and dispersed in the liquid.
