Abstract: Channel state information reference signal transmission can be used to estimate channel state information. Although resources needed for channel state information reference signals can be small, when multiple bandwidths are deployed within the same orthogonal frequency division multiplexing bandwidth, estimating the channel state information can comprise a channel state information reference signal resource grid for every bandwidth. Therefore, time-frequency resources for channel state information reference signals can be high and occupy a lot of bandwidth, thereby reducing the number of resources for data transmission. Therefore, a non-orthogonal design for channel state information reference signals for a 5G air interface can mitigate bandwidth loss in a 5G network.

Abstract: An architecture for surveillance of hybrid fiber coaxial (HFC) 5th generation (5G) Long Term Evolution (LTE) small cell devices using mobile edge computing techniques hosted by a HFC device is disclosed. A method can comprise receiving first data representing a quality of service value associated with a small cell device of a first group of 5G small cell devices; retrieving second data representing a historical quality of service value associated with a second group of 5G small cell devices; as a function of the first data and the second data, generating a change value for the small cell device; and based on the change value, facilitating an adjustment in an operation of the small cell device.

Abstract: Interactive content can be managed and provided to occupants of an automated vehicle to enhance their experience while in the vehicle. Orchestrator component can determine interactive content based on conditions associated with the vehicle, user preferences, video content, or other information. Interactive content can comprise video content, audio content, and control content. Video content can comprise augmented reality or virtual reality content. Control content can be used to control vehicle operation in relation to or synchronization with presentation of video content. Orchestrator component can correlate between certain roads on which the vehicle can travel and entertainment presentations presented to a vehicle occupant. Orchestrator component can control vehicle operation to have the vehicle recreate a vehicle action sequence (VAS) in a video program being presented to the occupant in the vehicle. Orchestrator component can notify nearby vehicles when VAS is be recreated, or another vehicle also can participate in VAS.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses, among other things, as described herein may provide for hyperlocal edge cache. A method includes intercepting a request for a resource/entity associated with an application; determining that the request can be served from the cache, wherein the cache is connected with a base station and only serves devices directly connected with the base station; and responding to fulfill the request for the resource associated with the application.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus and articles of manufacture for advertising network layer reachability information specifying a quality of service for an identified network flow are disclosed. Example methods disclosed herein to specify quality of service for network flows include receiving network layer reachability information including a first quality of service class specified for a first network flow, the network layer reachability information having been advertised by a first network element that is to receive the first network flow. Such example methods can also include updating an incoming packet determined to belong to the first network flow to indicate that the incoming packet belongs to the first quality of service class, the incoming packet being received from a second network element. Such example methods can further include, after updating the incoming packet, routing the incoming packet towards the first network element.

Abstract: A processing system may obtain usage volume information for endpoint devices for at least one cell site of a cellular network, determine at least one earning value of the at least one cell site based upon a summation of an earning metric of each of the endpoint devices for the at least one cell site, the earning metric comprising for each of the endpoint devices in a given time period: a total earning for the cellular network from the endpoint device times a ratio of the usage volume via the at least one cell site divided by the total usage volume via the cellular network, train a prediction model to predict an earning value of a new cell site, based upon geospatial features of the at least one cell site as predictor factors, and determine a predicted earning value of the new cell site via the prediction model.
