Abstract:
An apparatus and method are disclosed for power management. A monitor module monitors a connection between a base and a detachable device from the base and from the detachable device. The detachable device provides a display for the base if the detachable device and base are connected. A detection module detects a connection event selected from the group consisting of a detachable device connection to the base and a detachable device disconnection from the base.
Abstract:
The present invention relates a LED module and a lamp having the same. The LED module includes a substrate, a reflector, a transparent shroud and a fluorescent gel layer. The substrate has an accommodating portion in which at least one LED chip is received. The reflector is provided on the substrate and has an accommodating space in which a first gel is received. The transparent shroud is connected to the reflector to seal the first gel. The fluorescent gel layer is provided between the transparent shroud and the first gel. With this structure, light spot and color temperature of the emitted light become more uniform, and the light-emitting efficiency thereof is improved greatly.
Abstract:
A device for infusing liquid into material samples includes a container assembly configured to contain multiple material samples submerged in liquid. The material samples have pores containing air or gas. A pressure source and a vacuum source are both operatively connectable to the container assembly and alternately communicable with the container assembly to force the liquid to at least substantially fill the pores. The samples are thus ready for further processing, testing or use. A method of filling pores in material samples with liquid includes supporting multiple material samples within liquid in an airtight container assembly. The method further includes alternately applying a vacuum source and a pressure source to the container assembly, thereby replacing air with liquid in the pores of the material samples.
Abstract:
A phase switch component driven synchronously is configured at a light emitting side of a display panel of a display. A plurality of parallel electrodes is disposed on a conductive film of the phase switch component, each corresponding to one of a plurality of rows of display pixel driven by gate drivers of the display panel. When the display panel sequentially drives the pixel electrodes of each row of display pixel, by line scanning way, to output frames of 3-dimension images, the phase switch component is synchronously driven to switch the phase of liquid crystals by each parallel electrodes and alters the frames to be polarized lights capable of being received by a left part and a right part of 3D glasses respectively.
Abstract:
Methods and structure for improved client/server program communication by transmitting dynamically maintained service capabilities information from the server program to the client program. The client program generates a service request based on the received service capabilities information. Since the service capabilities information is retrieved from the server program and is dynamically maintained by the server program, the client program need not be updated when available services from the server program are modified. In one exemplary embodiment, the client program may be a print application client program and the server program may be a print server program. The print client program retrieves the current printer device capabilities (service capabilities information) and generates a print job ticket (service request) based on the retrieved, dynamically maintained printer device capability information. The job ticket is then transmitted to the server program to cause the printing of the document specified by the job ticket.
Abstract:
A three-dimensional (3D) display installation is disclosed. The installation comprises a display, a phase-modulation device and at least a pair of polarized glasses. The phase-modulation device is set in one side of the display panel. The driving frequency of the display panel and the phase-modulation are above 120 Hz and synchronous with each other. The modulated polarized light contains left eye and right eye signals in sequence, which can be filtered by polarized glasses alternatively, and then the 3D visual effect is achieved. The 3D installation is suitable for multiple viewers at the same time, and the resolution of the screen is also unchanged under the 3D display mode.
Abstract:
To provide a compound represented by General Formula (1) below, where R denotes a C1-C10 hydrocarbon group, Z denotes any one of a sulfide group, a sulfinyl group and a sulfonyl group, and n denotes an integer of 4 to 8.
Abstract:
An electronic apparatus includes a first member, a second member with a first point and a second point, a processing unit, and a drive device. The drive device pivotably connects the second member to the first member. The processing unit calculates a first distance between the first point and a third point and a second distance between the second point and the third point. The processing unit controls the drive device to rotate the second member relative to the first member according to the first distance and the second distance, thus the line defined by the third point and a middle point between the first point and the second point is perpendicular to the line defined by the first point and the second point.
Abstract:
A disclosed encryption key restoring method enables restoration of an encryption key in the event of inability to use the encryption key stored in a secure memory of an information processing apparatus, in which data encrypted by the encryption key is stored in an internal storage unit. A disclosed information processing apparatus includes a key management module that checks the validity of the encryption key. If the encryption key is not valid, the key management module acquires a restore key for the encryption key from outside the information processing apparatus, and checks the validity of the restore key. If the restore key is valid, the key management module stores it in the secure memory, and reboots the information processing apparatus in a normal mode.
