    Abstract: A system for locking a remote-control device blocks a remote-control device from sending signals related to user input until a code to unlock the remote-control device is received. The system for locking a remote-control device receives an indication that the remote-control device should be locked and locks the remote-control device. The system for locking a remote-control device receives user input and determines whether the user input included a predetermined code. Based on a determination that the user input included the predetermined code, the system for locking a remote-control device unlocks the remote-control device.

    Abstract: Electronic communications between a client device and a server device are improved by providing a middleware component that incorporates electronic data read and/or written to a database in a hybrid data structure. The hybrid structure is further designed to allow for “NULL” or other pre-defined data values when one or more data fields are unavailable or erroneous. The client device, in turn, can be configured to check for the pre-defined data values in certain fields and to gracefully process such values. The hybrid structure with pre-defined error values therefore provides for very efficient data transmittal and processing, while retaining the ability to handle errors or other unusual situations relating to the data.

    Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to methods and systems for controlling access to multimedia content. In an access control system, each device operates as a gateway or node in the access control network and is linked to the other devices in the access control network. Each device in the network has a hash value that identifies the device and the type of media content or content providers the device can access. When a device requests to access media content, nodes in the access control system can compare the hash value of the user device to hash values in an allocation table to determine whether the user is authorized access the media content. In some implementations, a device connected to the access control network can verify or validate the hash value of the requesting device by comparing the hash value to hash values in an allocation table stored on a blockchain.

    Abstract: Various arrangements for coordinating shared spectrum usage between fixed communication systems and flexible communication systems are provided. A network interference management system can detect signal interference events at satellite receivers configured to receive data from satellites utilizing predefined frequency bands. The network interference management system can determine a plurality of characteristics for the satellite receivers including a geographic location where the satellite receiver is located and an alignment for the satellite receiver. Based on the plurality of characteristics, an interference source can be identified and an indication of the signal interference event can be transmitted to the interference source by the network interference management system to cause the interference source to modify one or more operations.

The method includes storing and/or transmitting the content program and metadata identifying the items to a receiver and providing an offer to order the items to a content consumer in a visual and/or audio manner.     Abstract: Systems, devices and methods are described for facilitating gateway prioritization. A system includes a gateway, a first node, and a second node coupled by an internal link. The gateway instantiates an allocator which allocates a link characteristic of the internal link based on a first resource request by the first node and in view of a second resource request by the second node. The requests identify a link characteristic for the internal link. The allocator allocates the link characteristic between the first node and the second node based on a ranking of the first node and the second node. The first link characteristic may be an internal link bandwidth. An ISP server is coupled by an external link to the gateway. The external link includes an external link characteristic which the first resource request identifies and the allocator allocates in view thereof.
