Abstract:
An operating device used in a game machine for playing a television game includes a main body and first and second finger-manipulatable operating units positioned symmetrically on the main body. The operating device may include first and second grips projecting at spaced positions from the main body, with the first and second operating units being positioned adjacent the first and second grips. The operating device may further include vibration-imparting units for imparting vibrations to the user's hands.
Abstract:
A block tool, which can be assembled by a user, is configured with multiple types of blocks and is shot by a camera for capturing a still image or a moving image. The position coordinates of a marker of the square-pillar block in a three-dimensional space are obtained by image recognition. Also, a connecting position and the type of each block, a gradient vector of the square-pillar block, an angle between two blocks constituting the square-pillar block, and the respective blocks' lengths are obtained so as to derive the shape, posture, and position of the block tool, and corresponding information processing is then performed.
Abstract:
A pixel set formation unit in an image analysis unit of an image processing device forms pixel sets from original images subject to analysis. A principal analysis unit of the image analysis unit performs principal component analysis in units of pixel sets. A synthesis unit synthesizes results of analysis in units of pixel sets so as to generate images of eigenvectors of a size of the original images. An image generation unit displays the images of the eigenvectors and stores data for an image generated by using the images of the eigenvectors in a generated image storage unit.
Abstract:
A method for presenting content on a display screen is provided. The method initiates with presenting first content on the display screen, the first content being associated with a first detected viewing position of a user that is identified in a region in front of the display screen. At least part of second content is presented on the display screen along with the first content, the second content being progressively displayed along a side of the display screen in proportional response to a movement of the user from the first detected viewing position to a second detected viewing position of the user.
Abstract:
An image acquisition unit acquires an image captured by a first imaging device provided in a HMD for presenting an image observed when a three-dimensional image in a virtual three-dimensional space is projected onto a real-world setting, the first imaging device being configured to visualize an area including a field of view of a user wearing the HMD. A marker detection unit detects a marker included in the image captured by the first imaging device and acquired by the image acquisition unit. The image acquisition unit acquires an image captured by a second imaging device having an angle of view that at least partially overlaps an angle of view of the first imaging device. If the marker is not captured in the image captured by the first imaging device, the marker detection unit detects the marker in an image captured by the second imaging device.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus provide for managing multiplayer play among a first player and at least one second player, where a first mode of multiplayer play is defined such that a game server selects the second player by: (i) selecting candidates by consulting a player database of information concerning a plurality of other players, (ii) sending invitations to the selected candidates to be the selected second player, (iii) receiving acceptances of the invitations from the candidates; and (iv) selecting the second player from among the candidates from whom acceptances were received; and where a second mode of multiplayer play is defined such that the game server selects the second player by consulting a player database of information concerning the plurality of other players, without consideration of an invitation to, or an acceptance from, the selected second player.
Abstract:
Provided is an information storage medium having stored thereon a program for causing a computer to execute processing for: acquiring a tentative time interval between a frame for generating an image and a previous frame; acquiring, when a condition associated with action data indicating a posture of an object in accordance with time is satisfied, the posture of the object at a time point at which a time interval shorter than the tentative time interval has elapsed since the previous frame based on the action data; and rendering the image indicating the acquired posture of the object.
Abstract:
An input control unit includes: a keyboard storage unit for storing keyboard screens each corresponding to a set of characters or symbols; a keyboard display unit for reading one of the keyboard screens and displaying the read keyboard screen on the screen; an input receiving unit for receiving a selection of the character or the symbol by the user; and a switching control unit for reading keyboard screens from the keyboard storage unit, displaying the read keyboard screens on the screen as selection candidates, and switching the selection candidate from among the plurality of keyboard screens. When the switching control unit receives a user control input to confirm the candidate being selected from the user, the keyboard display unit displays the keyboard screen selected on the screen, and receives a selection of the character or the symbol selected from the user.
Abstract:
A touch coordinate acquisition unit acquires the coordinate position of a touch point on a touch panel. An area determination unit determines whether or not the coordinate position of a touch point is present within an enlarging operation area provided in part of the touch panel. A drag determination unit determines if a touch point has been dragged. When the coordinate position of a touch point is present within the enlarging operation area and the touch point has been dragged, an operation mode switching unit switches the operation mode for touch inputs from a normal operation mode to an enlarging operation mode. When the operation mode is switched to the enlarging operation mode, a touch coordinate transformation unit transforms the coordinates of an actual touch point within the enlarging operation area into the coordinates of a virtual touch point for the whole area of the touch panel.
Abstract:
A non-transitory information storage medium stores a program for causing a computer to execute processing including obtaining a search region for a search of the outside of one object and selecting any object in the search region as a search result from among a plurality of other objects.
