摘要: A body frame has a main frame portion in which a process unit for sequentially performing electrophotographic processes from charging a photosensitive member to developing an image, a fixing device, a paper supply device, and a paper transport device are fixed being positioned in their places. The body frame also has an optical frame portion in which an exposure device for throwing light in accordance with printing data on the photosensitive member charged through a charging process is fixed being positioned in its place. Namely, the body frame incorporates both the main frame portion and the optical frame portion therein and, hence, the photosensitive member of the process unit and the exposure device are mounted on one main body accurately positioned with respect to each other. Therefore, images of improved quality can be obtained. Further, since it is not necessary to provide the main frame and the optical frame separately, downsizing of the entire apparatus can be attained.

摘要: A developing unit having a pair of semicircular first sealing members longitudinally formed on a cylindrical portion of both ends of a toner conveying roller along an outer peripheral surface of a toner conveying roller such that a gap is set between the sealing members and a toner layer thickness determining plate in a frictional state. A pair of second sealing members are provided close to a position where the toner layer thickness determining plate faces the roller and at a position, opposite to a side facing the toner conveying roller. Each of the first and second sealing members applies predetermined pressure to the toner conveying roller, and each of the sealing members includes lubricating fine grains.

摘要: The printer is provided with a detection data storage area section comprising sixteen storage areas for storing detection data from a transmission type sensor for every 1-step driving of a feed motor. When the difference between the last detection data and the detection data before steps is a value equal to or more than 0.7 V, the last detection data is set in a gap determination level storage area, is set in a gap flag area, and counting by a gap length counter is started. Thereafter, when the detection data from the transmission type sensor comes to be equal to or smaller than the value set in the gap determination level storage area is set in the gap flag area and the position in the half of the count value of the gap length counter is recognized as the gap center.

摘要: An exposing device is composed of a photosensitive drum having a surface partitioned into a plurality of exposure areas in a main scanning direction, for carrying an image formed by exposing the surface, a laser light source for emitting a laser beam, a polygon mirror for rotating at a constant speed to scan the surface of the photosensitive drum in the main scanning direction with the laser beam from the laser light source, and an exposure control circuit for producing items of emission data for one line while the number of emission data items for one dot is varied for each exposure area, and for supplying the emission data items for one line to the laser light source in response to a print clock pulse. Particularly, the exposure control circuit includes a CPU for multiplying a reference value for the number of data items which should be selected from emission data items for a dot and changed in value to obtain a predetermined function, by a coefficient for an exposure area to which the emission data items for the dot are assigned, and for changing the value of each data item selected from the emission data items for the dot in number corresponding to a result of multiplication.

摘要: The apparatus for reading a symbol of a 2-dimensional code has a diffusion plate and a diffuse reflection surface between a light source unit and an opening to prevent light emitted from the light source unit from directly reaching the opening. Illumination light from the light source unit reaches the diffuse reflection surface while the central axis of the light is shifted from the optical path to the diffusion plate. With this arrangement, nonuniformity of illumination light irradiated on a a symbol on object can be prevented, and a halation of light can be prevented. The symbol of the 2-dimensional code can therefore be accurately read.
