Abstract:
Methods, apparatuses and systems directed to pattern identification and pattern recognition. In some particular implementations, the invention provides a flexible pattern recognition platform including pattern recognition engines that can be dynamically adjusted to implement specific pattern recognition configurations for individual pattern recognition applications. In some implementations, the present invention also provides for a partition configuration where knowledge elements can be grouped and pattern recognition operations can be individually configured and arranged to allow for multilevel pattern recognition schemes.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to curcumin analogs exhibiting anti-tumor and anti-angiogenic properties, pharmaceutical formulations including such compounds and methods of using such compounds.
Abstract:
A system and method for improved viewing and navigation of large digital images, such as whole slide images used in microscopy. The system and method displays the digital image along with movable navigation and field of view boxes that enable a viewer to pan the digital image in an accurate manner, and also performs automatic absolute reorientation of the digital image and automatic relative reorientation of subsequent digital images in relation to the first digital image.
Abstract:
A fault tolerant electronic trading system and method. The fault tolerant electronic trading system and method includes N-level redundancy that allows multiple components within the system to fail without forcing users off the system or causing the trading system to fail. Fault tolerance with risk management controls is also provided.
Abstract:
A mixed-use drinking glove for facilitating handling of a beverage vessel and simultaneous manual activities. The glove comprises a body portion and a container portion joined to back side of glove body, thus leaving user's palm, fingers, and thumb free for manual activities.
Abstract:
A cutting device is provided for making subcutaneous incisions. The cutting device has a housing forming a handle. A tubular blade sub-assembly extends from the housing. A trocar passes through the tubular blade sub-assembly and is configured to be positioned in a first active position, with a tip of the trocar extending beyond the end of the tubular blade sub-assembly and a second retracted position where the tip of the trocar is held within the end of tubular blade sub-assembly.
Abstract:
A planting unit is provided having a seed trench opener that forms a seed trench in a ground surface as the planting unit travels along the ground. A depth regulating member is provided that has a predetermined vertical position relative to the opener. The depth regulating member is operable to ride along the ground and thus predetermined the seed trench depth. A suspension assembly is provided to reduce the shock forces on the planting unit when obstacles are encountered. Furthermore, a suspension system is provided to the seed trench opener, in addition to the depth regulating member.
Abstract:
A tamper-evidencing closure for a container including a first component having a first interlocking structure and a second, plastics injection molded component having a second interlocking structure molded in situ against the first interlocking structure. The second interlocking structure is complementary in shape to the first interlocking structure and is in mechanical interlocking engagement with the first interlocking structure. The mechanical interlocking engagement is releasable without fracture of at least one of the first and second interlocking structures. A method of using the tamper-evidencing closure is also disclosed.
