Abstract:
Provided are a participant terminal device, a wired and wireless coupled server for supporting broadcasting participation, and a method of providing a participational broadcasting service. The wired and wireless coupled server may include: an information obtainment unit to obtain channel information associated with a broadcast provided to at least one participant terminal device among a plurality of terminal devices in response to a participation request from the at least one participant terminal device; and an information processor to enable the at least one participant terminal device to access a participation control server associated with the broadcasting participation using participation address information corresponding to the obtained channel information by identifying the participation address information and transmitting the identified participation address information to the at least one participant terminal device.
Abstract:
A wavelength division multiplexing passive optical network system is provided. A central office generates a multi-mode light having a mode interval equal to a period interval of a multiplexing filter of the remote node and the multi-mode light is used to control a wavelength of an uplink transmission optical signal of the optical network unit. A remote node multiplexes the multi-mode light with the multiplexing filter to transmit the multiplexed multi-mode light to the optical network unit and demultiplexes the uplink transmission optical signal to transmit the demultiplexed uplink transmission optical signal to the central office. An the optical network unit generates the uplink transmission optical signal by modulating a data signal with a Fabry-Perot laser which uses the multiplexed multi-mode light as an injection optical source. Accordingly, it is possible to control a wavelength of a transmitter of the optical network unit by using the injection optical source generated by the central office.
Abstract:
There is provided a IPTV digital broadcast system and method capable of reducing a channel change time, the system including: an IPTV providing server providing a broadcast stream including broadcast data for each channel; an EPG server, when a client terminal accesses, providing an EPG, multicast group information for each channel, and PID information for each channel to the client terminal; and a PID providing server acquiring the PID information for each channel itself and providing the PID information for each channel to the EPG server.
Abstract:
A system for personal Internet protocol (IP) broadcasting to which a personal digital rights management (DRM) is applied, and a method thereof are provided. The system for personal IP broadcasting includes: a personal broadcasting transmission unit generating content, storing the content, applying personal DRM encryption to the content, and transmitting the content; a personal broadcasting reception unit receiving the transmitted content, DRM-decoding the content based on a personal DRM certificate corresponding to the content, and reproducing the content; a channel management unit allocating a channel through which the personal broadcasting transmission unit transmits broadcasting, then managing the channel, and transmitting information of a predetermined broadcasting transmission unit requested by the personal broadcasting reception unit; and an authentication server unit verifying validity of each of the personal broadcasting transmission unit and the personal broadcasting reception unit, and issuing and managing the personal DRM certificate. According to the system and method, DRM is applied to the content authored and broadcast by an individual person, thereby enabling the person to claim digital rights. Accordingly, illegal copying of the personal broadcasting content can be prevented and only authenticated users can use the service, thereby preventing broadcasting of inappropriate content or illegal use of the service by an unauthorized user.
Abstract:
A system for surveying audience ratings in real-time in an Internet protocol TV (IPTV) network and a method thereof are provided. The system for surveying audience ratings in real-time includes an electronic program guide (EPG) server providing channel information and audience rating survey server information to an IPTV client; the IPTV client outputting periodically reception information including channel and subscriber information, the channel being received after being selected based on the channel information; and an audience rating survey server surveying audience ratings based on the reception information. According to the system and method, the addition of any information in a broadcasting stream is not required for an audience rating survey, additional devices are not requested to be installed in the houses of viewers or listeners, and without the necessity of their cooperation, audience ratings can be automatically performed in real-time.
Abstract:
An interactive advertisement system and a method thereof are provided. The interactive advertisement system includes an advertiser server, a local advertisement server, and a service receiver. The advertiser server requests registration of advertisement information by setting advertisement ID including target service areas and provides services in response to an order of available services corresponding to the advertisement information. The local advertisement server stores and registers the advertisement information including the advertisement ID corresponding to the registration request of the advertiser server, multicasts the registered advertisement information with the advertisement ID through an IP network, and transmits information related to a service request to the advertiser server. The service receiver extracts advertisement information providing a corresponding service from the received advertisement information, outputs the extracted information through a user interface, requesting the local advertisement server to order the input service, and receives the corresponding service from the advertiser server.
Abstract:
A pluggable optical transceiver module is provided. The pluggable optical transceiver module is fitted to and removed from a receptacle having a clamp at an end in an optical communication system body and includes a housing frame having an adaptor at which a light emitting diode (LED) display unit and an optical transceiver element are installed; a rotary lever comprising a handle at one side and a pressing portion at another side so that the rotary lever rotates by a predetermined angle with respect to one side of the housing frame; and an elastic arm which is pivoted on the housing frame to be rotated by the rotary lever and includes one end contacting the pressing portion according to rotation of the rotary lever and another end coupled with or separated from the clamp of the receptacle by the rotation.
Abstract:
A fragmentation repetition detection apparatus (410) for detecting an IP fragmentation repetition which may occur in a multicast or unicast environment is provided. The fragmentation repetition detection apparatus (410) includes a packet capturing unit (411) which captures a received packet, a fragmentation repetition detector which detects whether or not the captured packet is a packet which is repetitively fragmented, and a path maximum transmission unit (PMTU) transmitter (414) which transmits PMTU information acquired by the fragmentation repetition detector (412) to a server which transmits the packet when the captured packet is a packet which is repetitively fragmented. Since a packet is transmitted by readjusting a PMTU, a fragmentation of an IP packet can be prevented.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for locating wireless nodes using difference triangulation, including: storing information transmitted from three or more fixed wireless nodes while moving on a movement path; calculating displacement vectors among three or more measurement points sharing the information of three or more fixed wireless nodes on the movement path; calculating positional information of the mobile wireless node at another measurement point by reflecting the calculated displacement vectors to the positional information of the mobile wireless node calculated at a measurement point of a region where a location of at least one fixed wireless node is known; and calculating positional information of a location-unknown fixed wireless node by the positional information of the mobile wireless node calculated at the three or more measurement points and information received from the location-unknown fixed wireless node.
Abstract:
A multicast communication method, a multicast communication apparatus and a multicast communication system in a network environment lacking a continuous connectivity. The source node device selects a group leader device which is able to forward data to group member devices belonging to a multicast group, and forwards the data to the selected group leader device, thereby reducing traffic between node devices, improving network reliability and saving the communication cost.
