Abstract:
An assembly and method for recording and/or reading high-density data includes a phase change media, an antenna placed adjacent the phase change media, and a source of electromagnetic radiation.
Abstract:
A catalyst system for a marine engine incorporates a catalyst device within a housing structure. The catalyst device has a rim portion that is disposed within first and second flange surfaces of first and second housing structures. A gasket is provided which is configured to have an opening that allows the rim portion of the catalyst device to be constrained between the first and second flange portions but not between the gasket and either of the first and second flange surfaces.
Abstract:
A timing interface module with daughter timing reference modules. The timing modules are provided in a rack platform to eliminate routing problems and which is compliant with all relevant industry standards. The timing reference module includes a face plate having first and second substantially rectangular openings, the face plate further comprising mounting slots for receiving mounting hardware therein and first and second timing modules, the first and second timing modules disposed within the first and second substantially rectangular openings. The first and second timing modules provide timing terminations for timing reference signals for network elements of a synchronized optical network.
Abstract:
A hybrid bioelectrical interface (HBI) device can be an implantable device comprising an abiotic component operable to transmit charge via electrons or ions; a biological component interfacing with the neural tissue, the biological component being sourced from biologic, biologically-derived, or bio-functionalized material; and a conjugated polymer component that together provide a means to chronically interface living neural tissue with electronic devices for extended durations (e.g. greater than 10 years). In some embodiments, conjugated polymers provide a functional electrical interface for charge transfer and signal transduction between the nervous system and an electronic device (e.g. robotic prosthetic limb, retinal implant, microchip).
Abstract:
A vehicle such as a recreational vehicle includes a slide-out portion such as a slide-out compartment, slide-out patio, etc that moves between a retracted position and an extended position to increase the living space in the vehicle. The slide-out portion includes a second floor that is positioned adjacent to a main floor when the slide-out portion is retracted. A slide-out mechanism is used to move the second floor between the retracted position and the extended position. The second floor may be at least substantially flush with the main floor when the slide-out portion is in the extended position.
Abstract:
A removable hard disk drive storage system includes a data storage cartridge having a write protect switch, and a reader configured to couple to and read data from the data storage cartridge. The reader includes a physical block that aligns with the write protect switch of the data storage cartridge. The physical block aligns with the write protect switch of the data storage cartridge to prevent the reader from coupling to the data storage cartridge when the write protect switch is in a write protect position.
Abstract:
A method (and resultant structure) of forming a plurality of masks, includes creating a reference template, using imprint lithography to print at least one reference template alignment mark on all of a plurality of mask blanks for a given chip set, and printing sub-patterns on each of the plurality of mask blanks, and aligning the sub-patterns to the at least one reference template alignment mark.
Abstract:
An electronic data storage device tracing system includes at least one data storage device and a reader system. The data storage device includes a housing having an optical label and a device RFID tag coupled to the housing. In this regard, the optical label is printed with a VOLSER number and the device RFID tag includes a chip that electronically stores the VOLSER number. The reader system is configured to read the VOLSER number from the chip and trace the at least one data storage device entering/exiting the reader system.
Abstract:
A device for precise cutting of imitation stone. An upper blade is mounted to an upper blade mount assembly for vertical sliding movement over a stationary lower blade. Downward movement of a handle rotates a cam surface that engages a convex upper surface of the upper blade mount assembly. This action moves the upper blade into contact with a piece of imitation stone disposed between the upper and lower blades, and further lowering of the upper blade then cuts the stone. The cutting edge of each of the blades is beveled on one side only such that each of the blade edges is asymmetrical in vertical cross-section.
