Abstract:
The capacitor has a monolithic anode and at least one anode lead wire extending from the anode. At least one sacrificial lead wire extends from the anode. A dielectric layer is on said anode and a cathode layer is on the dielectric layer. The anode lead wire is in electrical contact with the anode and a cathode lead is in electrical contact with the cathode.
Abstract:
In general, a mobile unit for communicating with other mobile units assigned to a group within a Multipoint Voice Network (“MVN”) having a plurality of groups is shown. The mobile unit may include transmitter, receiver, and controller. The transmitter is enabled to transmit a set of multiple carrier frequencies, where the transmitter is configured to transmit on one frequency chosen from a sub-set of multiple carrier frequencies from the set of multiple carrier frequencies. The sub-set of multiple carrier frequencies corresponds to the group to which the mobile unit is assigned. The receiver is configured to receive and demodulate the sub-set of multiple carrier frequencies and the controller configures the receiver to receive and demodulate the sub-set of multiple carrier frequencies that is assigned to the group.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a tissue removal device. The device includes an outer tubular body, an inner tubular body and a cutting edge on the inner tubular body. The outer tubular body includes a window, which may be opened or closed by moving the cutting edge. The cutting edge has a hardness that exceeds the hardness of the material of the inner tube. The cutting edge may have a Rockwell C hardness of at least about 50, while the inner tube has a Rockwell C hardness of no more than about 40. The cutting edge may be formed by a milling step, and the inner tube may be formed by a drawing step. Tissue severed by the cutting edge may be removed at a rate of at least about 1.8 grams per minute through the inner tube, and the outer tubular body may have an outside diameter of no more than about 3.5 mm.
Abstract:
A collapsible electro-acoustic transducer system (“CETS”) is described. The CETS system may include a base housing with at least one electro-acoustic transducer, where the base housing includes a base housing top and a base housing bottom, and a movable housing having at least one electro-acoustic transducer, where the movable housing is movably attached to the base housing. The CETS may also include an attaching element movably attaching the movable housing to the base housing, where the movable housing is configured to collapse within the base housing.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for finishing a workpiece surface using MR fluid is provided wherein the workpiece is positioned near a carrier surface such that a converging gap is defined between a portion of the workpiece surface and the carrier surface; a magnetic field is applied substantially at said gap; a flow of stiffened MR fluid is introduced into said converging gap such that a work zone is created in the MR fluid to form a sub-aperture transient finishing tool for engaging and causing material removal at the portion of the workpiece surface; and the workpiece or the work zone is moved relative to the other to expose different portions of the workpiece surface to the work zone for predetermined time periods to selectively finish said portions of said workpiece surface to predetermined degrees.
Abstract:
An apparatus for preparing a liquid includes a vessel including a top opening, the vessel able to hold a liquid; a shaft extending into the vessel; a basket coupled to the shaft, the basket having a cavity; and a motorized actuator assembly. The shaft is coupled to the motorized actuator assembly. The motorized actuator assembly vertically moves the shaft to move the basket. Moreover solid ingredients can be disposed in the basket to brew the beverage. The solid ingredient can include coffee.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for brewing coffee of higher quality and better taste than any apparatus and method currently available, while also enabling users to utilize less coffee grounds per brewing cycle, thereby achieving significant cost savings for users. A basket that houses a packet of coffee grounds is housed within a chamber that stores water. The basket is fabricated so that water may enter therein and exit therefrom, and the packet of coffee grounds enables water and natural coffee oils to penetrate the packet, but does not allow coffee grounds to escape the packet. The water chamber is filled with water that is gradually heated from at or around tap temperature to approximately boiling. While the water in the chamber is heated, the basket is agitated. This causes the gradually heating water to enter the basket and agitate the packet, thereby extracting natural coffee oil from the grounds stored within the packet, which creates brewed coffee. The entire brewing process may be controlled by electronic controlling means.
Abstract:
A special tool that can engage and manipulate a Jeep mounting screw commonly known as “Jeep Wrangler Hardtop Freedom Top Targa Mounting Knob Screw” Embodiments may include a handle that can contain indentations or ribs totally or partially extending its length for better grip. The handle abuts a flat head. A pair of screw engagement members are mounted on the flat head, separated, and spaced apart a pre-determined distance. The center region between the engagement members can be part of the flat head. Each engagement member is arc-shaped, or semi-circular in cross-section to fit into the knob screw head. The two engagement members are typically mounted in opposition and each extends approximately ⅓ the circumference of the head. This arrangement allows perfect engagement with the Jeep mount screw.
