Abstract:
In yet another embodiment, a computer-implemented method can be provided. The method can include storing, in at least one memory associated with a mobile device, payment information. The method can further include generating, utilizing the payment information, a displayable image. Furthermore, the method can include directing output of the image by a display associated with the mobile device, wherein the image is scanned by a reader device at a point of sale in order to complete a point of sale transaction.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for facilitating point of sale transactions. In one embodiment, a computer-implemented method can be provided. The method can include collecting, by a mobile device at a merchant point of sale, merchant contextual information associated with a merchant station at a merchant location. The method can also include identifying payment information stored on the mobile device. Further, the method can also include providing the merchant contextual information and the payment information to a merchant device in order to complete a point of sale transaction.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the disclosure can include systems and methods for facilitating card present transactions. In one embodiment, a computer-implemented method for conducting card present transactions can be provided. The method can include receiving, by a merchant system comprising one or more computers, a request for a card present electronic commerce transaction on behalf of a consumer; determining, by the merchant system, an identifier of a mobile device of the consumer; obtaining, by the merchant system from the mobile device, validation information associated with a payment application stored on the mobile device; and outputting, by the merchant system for communication to an issuer system, a proposed card present transaction and the validation information.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the disclosure can relate to systems and methods for enrolling consumers in loyalty programs. Certain embodiments of the disclosure can relate to automatic enrollment of consumers in loyalty programs. In one embodiment, a computer-implemented method for enrolling a consumer in a loyalty program can be provided. The method can include establishing, by a merchant device, communication with a consumer device; determining, by the merchant device, that loyalty information is not stored on the consumer device; and providing, by the merchant device to the consumer device, loyalty information.
Abstract:
A method for performing a money transfer receive transaction involving a recipient that receives money from a sender includes the steps of providing a receive code to a recipient via a transaction staging device that is used to stage the receive transaction, wherein the code is used to identify the receive transaction on a data base; receiving at the data base an entry, provided by the recipient and corresponding to the code, from a transaction fulfillment device in communication with the data base; and providing transaction details of the receive transaction to the transaction fulfillment device for verification with the recipient; wherein the code is not provided by or to the sender for use by the sender during the receive transaction.
Abstract:
A method of processing negotiable instruments includes receiving a message at a host computer system of an entity that processes negotiable instruments from a client computer of an entity that issues negotiable instruments. The message comprises a request to receive a list of negotiable instruments paid by the processor and issued by the issuer. The method also includes transmitting a file from the host computer system to the client computer. The file includes the list at least one selection arrangement for at least one item in the list. The at least one selection arrangement is programmed to receive information from the issuer relating to issue information for the at least one item. The method also includes receiving at the host computer system issue information relating to one of the items in response to a selection using one of the at least one selection arrangements.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for distributing and/or calculating elective account balances. Various of the systems include one or more microprocessor based devices that are coupled to a communication network. A computer readable medium is associated with at least one of the microprocessor based devices, and includes instructions executable by the microprocessor based device to serve interfaces and receive information via the interfaces. In addition, the information received via the interfaces can be used to allocate at least a portion of an elective balance to a redemption category, and to calculate a redemption amount. Various of the methods include receiving one or both of a bid premium and a allocation amount. This information can be used to calculate a redemption amount.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for selecting inserts. In some cases, the inserts can be advertisements or offers, and the inserts are included with an offer item that can be, for example, a scheduled bill or other planned mailing. In particular cases, the systems can include a multi-bay insert holder, an offer item, and an associated offer item holder. A microprocessor associated with a computer readable medium is included with instructions executable by the microprocessor to: receive an external tickler, receive a decision rule, receive a decision information, apply the decision rule to the decision information, and send a control signal to the multi-bay insert holder. The control signal indicates an insert associated with the multi-bay insert holder to be placed in the offer item. Various methods are also disclosed for associating inserts with offer items.
Abstract:
Methods and systems are provided for coordinating a change in status of a stored-value card for a customer. Transaction information is received at a host system from a point-of-sale terminal. The transaction information includes stored-value-card information identifying the stored-value card and payment-instrument information identifying a payment instrument to be used for financing the change in status of the stored-value card. The host system receives a payment authorization from a payment authority in response to a transmission of the payment-instrument information to the payment authority. The host system also receives a confirmation of the change in status of the stored-value card from a stored-value-card authority in response to a transmission of the stored-value-card information to the stored-value-card authority. The host system transmits an approval for effecting the change in status of the stored-value card to the point-of-sale terminal.
Abstract:
According to the invention, a method for a payor paying a merchant using a payment system is disclosed. In one step, account information is received that can be used for receiving funds using a money handler. The account information identifies an account of the payor. A token is generated that correlates to the account information. The token is sent to the merchant that uniquely identifies the payor and the merchant. The token, which corresponds to a payment, is received. It is authenticated that the token was presented by the merchant. The payment is transferred from the payor to the merchant with the payment system.
