Abstract:
An electronic device and a slide switch are disclosed. The slide switch includes a main body, a slider, a rotary plate rotatably connected to the main body, and a rotary arm. The main body includes a fixing space, a channel, and a first contact member protruding from a bottom of the fixing space. The slider is movable between a first position and a second position within the channel. The rotary plate includes a lateral surface and a second contact member protruding from the lateral surface. Two ends of the rotary arm are respectively connected to the slider and the lateral surface. When the slider is located in the first position, the first contact member spaces from the second contact member; when the slider is moved to the second position, the rotary arm rotates the rotary plate causing the first contact member to contact the second contact member.
Abstract:
A method for affixing adhesive films to a main board is provided. The main board includes a main body and a shield. The shield includes a first shield and a second shield. The second shield defines openings. When the second shield is attached to the main body, components of the main body are confined within the openings, respectively. The method includes: first absorbing a single adhesive film to an electrostatic absorbing film. Then, stamping the electrostatic absorbing film and the single adhesive film to form adhesive films that have substantially the same shape and arrangement as the openings. Next, aligning the electrostatic absorbing film with the first shield and affixing the adhesive films to the first shield. Then, removing the electrostatic absorbing film from the first shield. And, assembling the first shield to the second shield.
Abstract:
A nebulizing assembly includes a base having a centered through hole; an nebulizing plate disposed on the base, the nebulizing plate having a radially outer area formed as a gluing section provided with a plurality of glue holes and a central area formed as a spraying section corresponding to the through hole on the base; and a piezoelectric driving element stacked on a top of the nebulizing plate and attached to the gluing section, and having a centered mist outlet. A glue layer is applied over the gluing section to fill up all the glue holes and can provide an extremely high bonding force when becoming dried to thereby firmly bond the nebulizing plate between the base and the piezoelectric driving element. The mist outlet and the through hole on the base have the same diameter to enable minimized resistance applied the whole structure to the nebulizing plate.
Abstract:
An illumination system including a master control unit, a device unit, a driving circuit unit, and an illumination unit is provided. The master control unit receives an input signal and outputs a control signal by performing a program operation processing to the input signal. The device unit analyzes the control signal so as to obtain a color temperature setting value and a brightness setting value, and generates two output signals according to the brightness setting value and two color temperature adjusting signals determined by the color temperature setting value. The illumination unit has at least two lamps with different color temperatures. The driving circuit unit receives and converts the two output signals so as to proportionally output two driving signals to respectively drive the two lamps. One of the two output signals is enabled after the other of the two output signals is disabled for a predetermined time.
Abstract:
A boot up method makes an electronic system boot up by a processor according to a boot code in a NAND flash memory and includes the following steps. First, the flash memory storing a boot code or boot codes is provided. Next, a first boot code is copied to an XIP memory in response to a hardware reset signal. Then, the processor executes the first boot code in the XIP memory and thus makes the system boot up. Next, whether the system boots up successfully is judged after a time delay. When the system fails to boot up, the system is reset and a second boot code is copied to the XIP memory. Thereafter, the processor executes the second boot code in the XIP memory and thus boots up the system. If the system still fails to boot up, the above-mentioned steps are repeated until the system boots up successfully.
Abstract:
An intelligent platform management interface (IPMI) server management system includes a managing side and a plurality of managed sides. The managed sides includes at least on active IPMI managed sides, wherein each of the active IPMI managed side actively provides its service information to the managing side so as to establish a first list, and then the managing side searches out the managed sides which are not on the first list one by one so as to establish a second list. Therefore, the IPMI server management system may effectively sort out the managed sides which are available for application.
Abstract:
A system and method for placing cellular toll calls over a secondary network to allow a subscriber to save money or realize some other advantage. Either a small software package can be downloaded to a mobile user's telephone to act as an interface into the service or the internet can be used with a wireless application protocol (WAP) using a WAP browser on the mobile telephone. A manager station operated by a third party (generally not the cellular network owner nor the secondary network owner) can receive request calls for cellular users to place toll calls. In a particular embodiment, the software in the user's mobile telephone can transmit the number desired to be called via a mobile data service like GPRS or WAP over GPRS to the manager station. Any method of transmitting this number is within the scope of the present invention including a direct mobile telephone call to the manager station. The manager station can then place two outgoing calls over the secondary network, the first to the called number, and the second a callback to the originating mobile telephone. The called number can be either a mobile or fixed station. When each of the two outgoing calls is set up, the manager can connect or conference the two calls together. The number of calls is not limited to two. After the calls are connected, the manager can track of billing for the service using methods known in the art.
Abstract:
A driving apparatus and a driving method of a backlight module are provided. The backlight module includes multiple LEDs. The driving apparatus includes at least one thermal sensor, an optical sensor, and a processor. The thermal sensor is for detecting a working temperature of the LEDs. The optical sensor is for detecting brightness and color of the backlight module after a calibration function is enabled, to obtain difference values of the detected brightness and color with respect to predetermined brightness and color. The processor is for providing at least one initial thermal compensation table, to determine working currents of the LEDs associated with the working temperature. The processor further is for calibrating a content of the initial thermal compensation table corresponding with a current working temperature of the LEDs and storing the calibrated thermal compensation table as the initial thermal compensation table after the calibration function is enabled.
Abstract:
A walking aid includes a support, a toilet seat, and a fixing member. The support has left and right frames, and a front frame interconnecting the left and right frames. The toilet seat is mounted pivotally on the support and has a seat plate defining a seat hole. The toilet seat is changeable between a stored position in which the seat plate is entirely supported by the front frame, and a use position in which the seat plate is supported by the left, right and front frames. The fixing member fixes the toilet seat to the support.
