Abstract:
A pre-provisioned application platform may be provided. First, a plurality of parameters may be received. Then a plurality of pre-provisioned tenants may be created based upon the received plurality of parameters. A request for service may be received and then an actual tenant may be assigned to one of the plurality of pre-provisioned tenants in response to the received request.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the isolation of Jatropha curcas curcin genes and tissue-specific promoters and to the production of curcin-deficient Jatropha plants. More specifically, the present invention relates to the isolation of Jatropha curcas Curcin 1, Curcin 2 and Curcin 2 A. The present invention further relates to of the Curcin 1, Curcin 2 A and Curcin 2 genes and more particularly to tissue specific promoters of the Curcin 1 and Curcin 2A genes. The present invention further relates to production of curcin-deficient transgenic jatropha plants by using RNAi technology to suppress curcin gene expression.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a micro-volume liquid ejection system, including an air pressure module, a micro-ejection unit which is connected with the air pressure module by a conduit, and a control circuit which is connected with the air pressure module and the micro-ejection unit respectively. The air is used as the pressure medium, resulting in improved cleaning process and reduced sample waste. The present invention includes an electric control circuit to pick up sample, eject sample and clean the conduits automatically, and enables handling of a multiplicity of samples. The present invention can be used for transferring or dispensing micro volume liquid including biological liquid on a nL and μL scale.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the field of plant molecular biology, more particularly Jatropha microsomal co6 oleate desaturases. The present invention also relates to Jatropha plants or plants of other oil crops having seeds with altered ratios of monosaturated and polyunsaturated fats. In particular, the present invention relates to Jatropha plants or plants of other oil crops where the plants exhibit elevated levels of oleic acid.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to methods for the regeneration and Agrobacterium-mediated transformation of plants in the genera of Jatropha, more specifically, in Jatropha curcas.

Abstract:
Example embodiments provide a medical lead adapted for to be steerable during insertion into an animal body. The lead comprises a structure comprised of a tip portion and a body. The tip portion is on a distal end of the structure. The tip portion is flexible in a direction that is substantially parallel to a principle plane. The lead provides structures to change the shape of the tip portion during insertion of the lead into an animal whereby the lead can move in a desired direction. Other example embodiments provide a needle for medical use comprised of: a needle having a shaft and a tip section; an opening in the shaft; a lumen communicating with the opening and a plurality of holes in the tip section. Aspects of the needle have symmetric and asymmetric tip sections and an overlying sheath. Example methods embodiments are provided that use the leads, needles and needle assemblies.
Abstract:
The invention provides a scanning platform for high speed scanning of microarrays. The platform uses a novel flexible a metal strip/wheel linear driving system to convert rotary movement of motors into linear movement, thereby drives movement of a stage/microarray in the direction of scanning. The platform of the present invention provides high movement speed, high resolution, and low return deviation. It is also simple in structure and low in manufacturing cost.
Abstract:
Methods of identifying polymorphisms associated with hereditary spastic paraplegia (SPG), are described. The polymorphisms associated with SPG include specific mutations in the receptor expression enhancing protein 1 (REEP1) gene. Also described are methods of diagnosis of SPG.
Abstract:
A method to manage nodes in a ZigBee network. In a ZigBee network including a plurality of nodes, a multicast group is generated including at least two nodes among the plurality of the nodes. A multicast group coordinator (GC) which manages the multicast group is set among the nodes forming the multicast group. The multicast group includes the GC, a multicast group member (GM) requesting to join the multicast group, and/or a multicast router (MR) which links GMs to each other or links the GC and the GC. Accordingly, since the GC manages the multicast group, the load is decreased and the packet data transmission rate is enhanced.
