The apparatus for providing multiple screens is capable of connecting a plurality of screens to a plurality of output ports so as to dynamically configure the plurality of screens which provide multiple contents on a single physical display device. The apparatus for providing multiple screens includes a service processing module which generates a plurality of logical screens for displaying a plurality of services and an output module which maps a logical screen combination including at least one of the plurality of logical screens to an output port.
Abstract:
An apparatus for providing multiple screens and a method of dynamically configuring multiple screens are provided. The apparatus includes a digital signal processing module receiving at least one of video information, audio information, and data information and restoring a plurality of services based on the at least one of the video information, the audio information and the data information; a service processing module producing a display screen and a plurality of logical screens for displaying the restored services; and an output module mapping the plurality of logical screens provided by the service processing module to different locations on the display screen, wherein each of the logical screens includes an instance providing graphics, the instance includes a plurality of frames on which an application is executed, and each of the frames has arrangement attribute information indicating an arrangement order.
Abstract:
Provided are a method and apparatus for receiving, storing, and executing a data broadcast application. The apparatus includes an application controller that determines whether receiving of application data needed to execute an application is completed before storing of a data broadcast is completed, allows the received application data to be stored when receiving of the application is completed, and determines whether the application will be executed together with audio/video data when the stored data broadcast is reproduced; and a storage unit that stores the completely received application data together with the audio/video data. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent the occurrence of errors in executing an application.
Abstract:
A apparatus and method for estimating a sequence of transmitted quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM)-modulated signals and space-time block coded signals using an optimal expectation-maximization (EM)-based iterative estimation algorithm in a multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO)-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) mobile communication system. An initial sequence estimation value is produced on the basis of a predetermined initial value using a pilot sub-carrier contained in each of OFDM signals received by a receiving side. A normalized value of a received signal on a channel-by-channel basis is produced by a predetermined equation using orthogonality between the OFDM signals received by the receiving side. At least one subsequent sequence estimation value is produced using the initial sequence estimation value and the normalized value of the received signal on the channel-by-channel basis. If the subsequent sequence estimation value converges to a constant value after an operation of producing the subsequent sequence estimation value is iterated the predetermined number of times, the converged subsequent sequence estimation value is designated as a final sequence estimation value.
Abstract:
A method of fabricating a gate of a semiconductor device using an oxygen-free ashing process is disclosed. The method includes forming a high-k dielectric film, having a dielectric constant higher than a silicon oxide film, on a semiconductor substrate including an NMOS region and a PMOS region, forming an etching target film on the high-k dielectric film, forming a photoresist pattern to expose any one region of the two regions, on the etching target film, etching the etching target film using the photoresist pattern as an etching mask, and removing the photoresist pattern using plasma formed in the presence of an oxygen-free reactive gas.
Abstract:
CMOS semiconductor devices having dual work function metal gate structures that are formed using fabrication techniques that enable independent work function control for PMOS and NMOS device and which significantly reduce or otherwise eliminate impact on gate dielectric reliability.
Abstract:
A system and method are presented for discovering mobile collaborators on a peer-to-peer (P2P) network. Each collaborator is identified on the P2P network by a unique ID. Each collaborator may also be identified by an identity file posted on the P2P network. Collaboration applications may include any of a variety of applications involving the exchange of information between 2 or more collaborators, such as voice over IP (VoIP). Dynamic file querying can be performed to filter the identity files most relevant to a particular peer partner. Web services are used end-to-end between P2P mobile devices and also between devices and third party service providers. Search engines use self-provisioning concepts for searches and WEB services querying. End-user devices register their personal information on P2P networks using identity self-provisioning and WEB services templates for a variety of uses, such as personal, gaming or business
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of detecting a chromosome abnormality and a microarray chip for detecting a chromosome abnormality. More specifically, the present invention is directed to a method of detection for chromosome abnormality in order to easily diagnosing the health condition and disease of the subject by detecting of the chromosome abnormality rapidly and precisely, and to providing a probe for diagnosis of disease by identifying chromosome abnormality specific to the disease.
