Abstract:
Systems, methods and computer program products for storing data from multiple clients in a database include a Multi-thread Shared Memory message Queue Buffer (MSMQB) that includes multiple First-In First-Out (FIFO) queues, a respective one of which is associated with a respective one of the clients. The MSMQB is configured to store sequential bursts of data records that are received from the clients in the associated FIFO queues. A Semi-Merge Sort Module (SMSM) is configured to sort the sequential bursts in the FIFO queues based on the primary key of at least one selected record but not every record, to produce a semi-sorted record stream for serially stored in the database.
Abstract:
The present invention provides common ligand mimics that act as common ligands for a receptor family. The present invention also provides bi-ligands containing these common ligand mimics. Bi-ligands of the invention provide enhanced affinity and/or selectivity of ligand binding to a receptor or receptor family through the synergistic action of the common ligand mimic and specificity ligand that compose the bi-ligand. The present invention also provides combinatorial libraries containing the common ligand mimics and bi-ligands of the invention. Further, the present invention provides methods for manufacturing the common ligand mimics and bi-ligands of the invention and methods for assaying the combinatorial libraries of the invention.
Abstract:
A logic circuit is simulated for mapping and emulation on a field programmable gate array-based platform by mapping one or more of the circuit delays onto delay elements in the FPGA-based platform. The operations of the delay elements are controlled by one or more simulations clocks that are different from any user-specified clocks.
Abstract:
This invention relates generally to cyclic polypeptides comprising a thioether linkage and methods for their preparation. More particularly, this invention relates to halogenated polypeptides having at least one haloalanine-like amino acid, and methods for their preparation which involve converting the hydroxyl group (i.e., --OH) of a serine-like amino acid to a halo group (i.e., --X where X is Cl, Br, or I) with the aid of a phosphorus-based halogenation reagent such as a triphenylphosphine dihalide (i.e., (C.sub.6 H.sub.5).sub.3 PX.sub.2, wherein X is Cl, Br, or I), a triphenylphosphite dihalide (i.e., (C.sub.6 H.sub.5 O).sub.3 PX.sub.2, wherein X is Cl, Br, or I), or a mixture of triphenylphosphine or triphenylphosphite with a halohydrocarbon (i.e., "halo-conversion"). This invention also relates to cyclic polypeptides having at least one polypeptide loop comprising a thioether linkage, and methods for their preparation which employ halogenated polypeptides and which involve intramolecular alkylation of the thiol group of a cysteine-like amino acid by the halo group of a haloalanine-like amino acid under suitable basic conditions to form a thioether linkage (i.e., "cyclization").
Abstract:
A milk powder container including a cylindrical bottle formed with threads at a lower end and a threaded neck at an upper portion, the cylindrical bottle having a top end formed with a semi-circular opening and a first semi-circular groove under the top end, a bottom cover threadedly engaged with a bottom of the cylindrical bottle, a control knob having a second semi-circular opening, a protuberance at a bottom adapted to the first semi-circular groove, and a lug at an outer side, an adjusting annular member formed with threads at an inner surface adapted to engage the threaded neck of the cylindrical bottle, a first groove at an upper portion of the inner surface, and a second groove at an outer surface, a retainer ring engaged with the second groove of the adjusting annular member, a cup formed at a lower edge with a flange adapted to fit into the first groove of the adjusting annular member, a longitudinal ear at an outer side with a corresponding slot at an opposite side adapted to receive the lug of said adjusting annular member, and a raised protrusion at an upper portion, and a cap engageable with a top end of the cup.
Abstract:
A clutch to be applied between a transmission shaft and a wheel of an electric cart, comprising a bushing for fixing to the shaft and a hub rotatably covered on the bushing, wherein the hub is adapted to have the wheel securely mounted thereto. A collar is mounted on the outer ends of the bushing and the hub to engage the bushing with the hub. The hub and the bushing, which are concentric annuluses, have matching slots on their outer ends, respectively, and the collar is provided with matching collar protrusions for engagement therewith. A stud is cased within the collar and secured to the outer end of the transmission shaft via a screw, which also slidably secures the collar to the shaft via a spring which sits on the shoulder in the inner wall of the collar. The hub can be easily disengaged from the bushing by simply pulling the collar and compressing the spring and rotating the collar so that the protrusions are no longer aligned with the slots and sit on the outer face of the hub and the bushing.
Abstract:
An extrusion molding machine for manufacturing the spiral bicolor LED hose light just needs a single process and equipment to greatly increase the production efficiency and save the equipment investment costs. The input channel terminal of the second flow channel connected with a first horizontal channel is gradually smaller, and the transportation end terminal of the first horizontal channel connected with a second horizontal channel of larger diameter is gradually larger. The transportation end terminal of the second extruder is connected with the input terminal of the third flow channels. The light strip input channel inputs the LED light strip to pass through the first and second flow channel, which the transparent molten plastic squeezed by the first extruder wraps and covers the LED light strip and the molten plastic with the other color squeezed by the second extruder is spirally wounded on the surface of the transparent molten plastic.
Abstract:
A computer-implemented process for controlling a vehicle interior includes detecting a previously defined situation that relates to an undesirable environmental condition of the vehicle interior, and assessing both a risk level and an urgency level, based on a vehicle sensor input and vehicle historical records. The process also includes generating a vehicle command based upon the detected previously defined situation, the assessed risk level, and assessed urgency level, and executing the generated vehicle command to control at least one of an engine, a window, and a heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) unit to modify an environmental condition of the vehicle interior. The process also comprises performing in a cyclically recurring manner, until the detected previously defined situation is resolved, re-assessing the risk level, the urgency level, or both, re-generating a vehicle command, and executing the re-generated vehicle command.
