Abstract:
A laser scanning apparatus is provided with a laser diode that is driven to emit a laser beam, a scanning optical system that scans the laser beam emitted by the laser diode on a surface to be scanned, and a controller that drives the laser diode by supplying electrical current to the laser diode. The controller supplies an extra electrical current to the laser diode only at an initial stage of driving of the laser diode so as to cancel an effect of a rising delay of its output intensity.

An apparatus for measuring eccentricity of an optical lens includes a rotary lens holder which supports a first lens surface of an optical lens by vacuum aspiration; a first determining device for determining whether a curvature center of a central portion of the first lens surface is positioned on the rotational axis; a second determining device for determining whether a curvature center of a peripheral portion of the first lens surface is positioned on the rotational axis; and an eccentricity detection device which detects an eccentricity of the optical lens with respect to the rotational axis to calculate an eccentricity of a vertex of the first lens surface with respect to the radial center of the optical lens, including a detector contacts a rim of the optical lens to detect the eccentricity of the optical lens with respect to the rotational axis.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a powder, by which it is possible to adjust the strength of the obtained powder is provided. The manufacturing method of a powder involves a step of preparing a slurry containing agglomerated particles of a synthetic material which is produced by reacting a first material and a second material under agitation, and a step of drying the slurry to obtain a powder of the synthetic material. The method has a feature that the particle size of the agglomerated particles is adjusted by, in the step of preparing a slurry, controlling agitation power for agitating the slurry. In the step of preparing a slurry, it is preferable that the slurry is initially agitated at a first agitation power, and at the time when the viscosity of the slurry approaches its maximum value, or at the time when the pH value of the slurry reaches the vicinity of the isoelectric point of the synthetic material, the agitation power is lowered from the first agitation power to a second agitation power. Further, it is preferable that before or after the completion of the reaction of the first material and the second material, the agitation power is increased from the second agitation power to a third agitation power.
Abstract:
A film scanner including a film holding device for holding a film to be scanned, an image pick-up device for scanning an image on the film in a main scanning direction, and a moving table having the film holding device mounted thereon, the moving table being movable with respect to the image pick-up device in a sub-scanning direction. The moving table includes an insertion portion into which the film holding device is inserted to be mounted on the moving table, the insertion portion allowing the film holding device to be inserted into the insertion portion only from a predetermined side of the moving table, and an insertion prevention device for preventing the film holding device from being inserted into the insertion portion in a position other than a predetermined position.
Abstract:
A scanning optical system is provided with alight source that emits at least one beam, an anamorphic optical element that converges the at least one beam in an auxiliary scanning direction, a polygonal mirror, and an imaging optical system. The imaging optical system has a scanning lens, and a compensation lens. One surface of the scanning lens has an anamorphic aspherical surface whose curvature in the auxiliary scanning direction is determined independently from a cross-sectional shape thereof along the main scanning direction. Further, one surface of the compensation lens has an aspherical surface in which a tilt angle of a cross-sectional shape in the auxiliary scanning direction changes with a position in the main scanning direction, the aspherical surface being asymmetrical with respect to a plane perpendicular to the auxiliary scanning direction and including a central point thereof.
Abstract:
An observation optical device with a photographing function comprises a photographing optical system, a telescopic optical system, and a solid-state imaging device disposed on the optical axis of the photographing optical system. The photographing optical system forms an image. The telescopic optical system can function as a viewfinder optical system for the photographing optical system. The solid-state imaging device photoelectrically converts the image into an image signal, and outputs the image signal in the progressive-scan method.
Abstract:
An electronic endoscope apparatus is provided that comprises an image-pickup device, an objective optical system, a compensation information storing memory, a mask data storing memory, and an electronic mask compensation processor. The objective optical system forms a subject image on an imaging surface of the image-pickup device. The compensation information storing memory stores compensation information which relates to a misalignment between an in-focus area produced by the objective optical system on the imaging surface, and an effective image sensing area of the image-pickup device. The mask data storing memory stores mask data for an electronic mask operation. The electronic mask compensation processor translates an electronic mask area in accordance with the compensation information.
Abstract:
A network camera system is configured such that an adapter device is connected with a digital camera, and the adapter device is connected with a network to which a client is also connected. A video signal representing a real-time image and a digital image signal representing a high-resolution still image are transmitted from the camera to the adapter. The adapter has a function of a file server and allows the client to download image data corresponding to the high-resolution still image. The adapter device further has a function of a streaming server and transmits streaming data representing the real-time image. The client can transmits an operation command to the adapter through the network, and the adapter transfer the command to the camera to perform the operation required by the client.
Abstract:
A light source device for an endoscope is provided. The light source device comprises a light source unit that supplies illumination light to an incident end face of a light guide member, which is laid inside an endoscope. The light source unit comprises a plurality of reflecting board members. Each reflecting board member has at least one light emitting diode. The plurality of reflecting board members are assembled into a concaved open polyhedron, so that the light emitted from the light emitting diodes are concentrated onto the incident end face of the light guide member.
Abstract:
The digital camera is adapted to generates a stereoscopic pair of images from a first image taken from a first camera location and a second image taken from a second camera location. The digital camera includes an imaging device for capturing an image of the object to be taken, an optical system for forming an optical image of the object and a processor for controlling the digital camera. The processor determines a distance from the digital camera to the object, or object distance, from the position of a focusing lens of the optical system. The processor further calculates a distance for which the digital camera should be moved after the first image is taken to be located at the second camera location. The distance for which the digital camera should be moved is displayed on an LCD monitor to inform the user of the digital camera.
