Abstract: A dehumidification system includes an evaporator, a condenser positioned next to the evaporator, and a drain pan including a mist eliminator. The drain pan is disposed at least partially below the evaporator and the condenser. The drain pan at least includes a basin disposed at least partially below the evaporator. The basin includes a sloped bottom, a first rib disposed on the sloped bottom, a second rib parallel to the first rib and including a central gap, a third rib positioned between the first rib and the second rib, and an angled rib attached to the second rib. The third rib is parallel to and shorter than the first rib. The third rib is configured to at least partially block the central gap of the second rib. The angled rib is inclined towards the third rib and configured to change a velocity vector of the air flowing through the drain pan. The mist eliminator is configured to remove water droplets from the air.

Abstract: A portable dehumidifier includes a cabinet and a pivoting handle. The pivoting handle is configured to pivot from a stored position to an engaged position. The pivoting handle includes a cross member, two extension members, and a cam arm. The cam arm is coupled to one of the extension members at an end of the extension member that is opposite the cross member. The cam arm includes a spring arm configured to engage with a locking pin coupled to the cabinet, a clearance hole configured to permit the cam arm to clear the locking pin when the pivoting handle is in the stored position, an aperture configured to permit a pivot pin to secure the cam arm to the cabinet, and a compression gap adjacent to the spring arm. The compression gap is configured to permit the spring arm to provide resistance to the pivoting handle during pivoting.

Abstract: A portable dehumidifier includes a plurality of recesses along a top edge of the portable dehumidifier and a plurality of protrusions along a bottom edge of the portable dehumidifier. The plurality of recesses permit a second portable dehumidifier to stack on top of the portable dehumidifier, and the plurality of protrusions permit the portable dehumidifier to stack on top of the second portable dehumidifier. The portable dehumidifier also includes a plurality of microchannel condenser coils and a fan located adjacent to the airflow outlet, the fan is configured to generate an airflow that flows into the portable dehumidifier through an airflow inlet and out of the portable dehumidifier through the airflow outlet, the airflow flowing through an evaporator and the plurality of microchannel condenser coils in order to provide dehumidification to the airflow.

Abstract: A dehumidification system includes a desiccant, a primary heat exchanger, a secondary heat exchanger, three fans, and a burner. The first fan generates a carbon dioxide airflow through the primary heat exchanger and the secondary heat exchanger. The burner generates a flame into one end of the primary heat exchanger. The flame increases an amount of carbon dioxide within the carbon dioxide airflow. The second fan generates a reactivation airflow that flows over a portion of the secondary heat exchanger, a portion of the primary heat exchanger, and then through a first portion of the desiccant in order to dry the desiccant. The third fan generates a process airflow that flows through a second portion of the desiccant in order to provide dehumidification to the process airflow.

Abstract: A dehumidifier includes a desiccant, first and second fans, and a bracket. The first fan generates a process airflow through a first portion of the desiccant as it rotates in order to provide dehumidification. The second fan generates a reactivation airflow through a second portion of the desiccant as it rotates in order to dry the desiccant. The bracket is configured to mount the first fan within the dehumidifier. The bracket includes a first portion coupled to the first fan that supports weight of the first fan when the dehumidifier is in an upright position. The bracket also includes a support member coupled to the first portion and a side of the dehumidifier. The side member supports weight of the first fan when the dehumidifier is in a horizontal position.
